first genuine life update in 19 daysI’m going to do a recap of the past few days. I have a new school now, and it’s been good. We moved to be closer to my parents church, and I’m still dealing with the fact that they’re devout christians and I hate god, but that’s too personal to jump into more than I’ve mentioned. There’s basically no dress code at the school, so I don’t have to be choked by a tie 24/7.
As for my mental heath, I think I have an invalidation problem. It’s essentially where I consider my personal priorities and wants being (almost) completely worthless, and regarding my emotions and experiences as being just as nonexistent.
I have identified the problem, as listed above, but haven’t been able to deal with it. It’s not a major problem, just holding me down partially. Life has just been too hard, and I don’t need to bring this up had things just get more difficult. In the meantime, I’m dealing with a writers block. I can write things, but nothing on the larger projects I need to complete to create my larger vision. All in all, I’m fine, mostly. I’ve been watching the first few seasons of The Walking Dead and I’m about to finish Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. They’re both great.

So, I’m working on outlining Late Shift. I remember I created this group to focus on making that story, and now I’m circling back. Here’s a snippet of the story, it may be a little uneventful – but it’s the beginning for the main character of the entire story.
late shift outline snippetLouise –
It’s a murky, snowy February morning. The sun is peeking through the gray sky, shining orange light around the horizon and lightly melting the snow that had set in over the winter. Her alarm didn’t go off, probably set to the wrong time. What wakes her up is knocks on the door, her roommate, Jade, waking her up. Jade is yelling through the door, they’re late for patrol. She gets out of bed, groggily stretching as we see her room fully. We learn quite a bit about her through the decor – an acoustic guitar on the floor, Polaroids of her and a familiar face on most of them. Caiman, who she credits in the pictures – written in sharpie: dad. On the calendar, we see that they have a movie night on Saturday, but he’s not listed as “dad”, but by his first name. She slips on her outfit, salmon jacket, green undershirt. She rubbed her eyes, stepping over to the door. Jade stood there with two travel mugs, filled with coffee. They talk briefly about patrol – and in direct polarization of previous drafts, Louise welcomes her to come along. Jade suggests she bring her guitar. Louise takes the job seriously, doesn’t want to do anything not related to killing Twigs and securing the westside perimeter. Jade grabs it anyways, and they walk downstairs to Louise’s truck. Louise grabs warmer jackets for the duo, and they get inside the vehicle.regurgitated art I made in sn awhile back

update #4
I moved
The new place is interesting. I kinda hate it, but the same thing happened with our previous place. I’ll adapt. I haven’t been active, or writing at all, because I’ve been having experiences, spending time with those I love. I went to see the FNAF movie, and it was great. I know there’s those Anton Ego’s of film that would walk into a theater showing that film and call it garbage, it’s different for me. The viewing experience was a first. I had never watched a movie the way I did FNAF, so i think it was always going to be a 10/10 in my book. Also, it’s a 10/10. Anyways, I’ll be busy for the next couple days helping with the move and adjusting.-
I might watch the fnaf movie when it’s out of digital
I have little knowledge on fnaf lore so it should be fun

The stories I’m focusing on don’t have Jade in them, but the main story has her heavily involved. Especially in the kickstarter of the main story, Late Shift. I’ll get to that story soon enough.-

update #3
productiveness in productivity
Okay, so I finished the outline for Nest. (I’m now working on the outline for Library, the next part.) I talked about that last post, but now I have a new question. Would y’all like to read it? It’s very, very, very long. That’s my no.1 reason for hesitation. Now, for a reminder. Remember the questionnaire?

working on nest
-again.So, developments with the story have been made. I’ve fully outlined Nest, so I can work on writing the actual dialog and in-depth character stuff, the real meat of the story. I’m proud of where it went, and glad I somehow managed to fit everything I wanted in it. I got a comment on the outline by Infiniteguess, and he said it was a; ”crazy sequence of events,” So I accomplished exactly the feeling I wanted to. In the end, I’m very proud of it. Hopefully, it won’t fall into the same niche as Late Shift did- finished, then new lore required a revision of the entire script. I really hope that doesn’t change.

So, I’ve been unable to really make anything in-universe besides writing – until today.
Phische
I wanted to explore a concept of mine, intelligent Twigs. The thing with Twigs is that they’re naturally very smart, merely bound by instinct that made them want to infect people. If you were to isolate a Twig from anything that could trigger those impulses, they would outgrow them and begin to act more human-like. So, we meet Phishe, a prime example. He’s never seen a person of any kind. He would love to meet them, as he learned to read. He read a lot about people, and a lot about fishing. He loves to fish, and as a small pastime, he learned sign language in case he ever meets someone.

So, I haven\’t posted on the site in awhile, and It\’s unadvisable to return with a wall of text, but I wrote an in-universe short story, and I\’d love to know what y\’all think.
presenting, an uroboros short story:
sap symptoms
Dr. Richard Lemony stepped into the medical center. It was one of the emptier days, the only other persons in the waiting room being the receptionist and his coworker, Jame. He walked up beside her, tugging at the tie and loosening it slightly for comfortability. He spoke directly, his throat sore from the days past. “Who’s hurt?” Jame walked beside him, giving him the details as quickly as he could as they walked. “A guy fell into a coma on the street. We found three massive lacerations on the forearms, like marks- but we can’t identify where they’re from. Not an animal, and not done by himself. The wound has some weird properties, and we’ve discover massive abnormalities in his brain activity, bloodstream and bones.” Lemony stepped into the room, looking at the man. A guy in his mid-forties, short, curled hair. Skinny, frail. “He’s been malnourished, and we’ve found that he has severe early onset dementia, symptoms in the brain activity showed up very quickly.” Jame said. Lemony looked the guy over, still mostly stoic. “Dementia at forty. Must have had some unhealthy habits, eh?” Jame took his remark very literally. “No, not at all. This is Runner Monaghan.” Lemony began examine the wounds. “So?” “Runner is a fitness instructor. The only unhealthy thing about him, up until this point, was his beard.” He looked at his beard. It was uncouth, but that wasn’t what Lemony was focusing on in the moment. Lemony gave Jame a love punch, and she gave him a very confused look. “Why’d you punch me?” Lemony gave her a look. “You made a remark. That’s character development.” Jame was disappointed. “This isn’t a show, Lemony. This man has something going on in his system that no one has seen before.” Lemony looked at his veins, popping out around the wound. “His blood is orange?” Jame nodded. “Abnormalities in the blood, like I said.” Lemony was concerned, looking at the comatose man before him. He was one to voice his thoughts. “What the fuck is up with him?” Jame shared the worry. “By all accounts, he was fine the day previous, spotted for a man at the gym just fine. This is sudden death, Lemon.” He nodded. “I can see that. Why’d you call me? You could’ve gotten someone with much higher authority on the subject of medical shit than me.” Jame nodded in agreement, which hurt Lemony’s ego slightly. She took a moment before she spoke. “They all hung up when I described the symptoms.” They both shared a moment in silence. “So, what is this?” Jame shook her head for no apparent reason, now trying to ease the information to Lemony. “It’s a disease, Lemony. These are all caused by the wound, something communicable through injuries.” Lemony was silent. He could feel his heartbeat. There was something about this situation, everything. It made him feel scared for his life, a deep, primal dread. The static in Lemony’s ears grew louder, everything began to muffle. “Lemon!” Jame slapped him lightly on the side of his face. “Keisha’s calling us. Are you okay? You looked like death for a second.” Lemony didn’t know how to respond, or what to think. They walked into the main room, Keisha, the receptionist, still on the phone. “Y’all be prepared, we got another dude coming in.” She said. “For what?” Jame asked, curious to know what they’re dealing with. Lemony dreaded her response. “Someone fell into a coma on the side of the road.”
And that\’s it. Tell me what you think!-

cool dog
nice update
well sorta
hope you get over the writer’s block
easy way to get out of a rut is to get into a hobby you truly look forward to doing
thanks, I’ll try
also yeah that dog is nice
I hear you, I struggled with writers block a few times but I think when it comes to writing part of it, it comes from you being able to just be real with yourself and your writing. Keeping to feasible enough elements and not playing on too many contrived writing details, there’s mimicking good writing and then there’s actually good writing.
It’s hard to grasp and depending on your story this will vary but under most circumstances of story I feel things should happen because they just do, much like our own world, it isn’t based around what works for the character or whatever but instead what makes sense but with more focus on emphasising events and taking a positive light to things when it comes to what favours the characters etc. what they stumble upon.
It’s almost like indirect plot Armor kind of thing rather than too deliberate, I’m struggling to explain but either way good luck with things.
I get what you’re saying, and I really appreciate it. I’m going to work on a much smaller thing for now to flesh out some ideas and keep my mojo going. And also, you’re one of the people I’ve really been wanting to show my story to, I just need to find the means.
If you’re interested, my laptop is broken so I can’t do it via Discord, but I have a private group called “Late Shift” where I can overshare about my story.
Sure, I just remembered, that post about reviewing the story and whatnot on your characters that Google form, I filled out a while back.
I already let you know over on Discord, that could be used as some feedback, it’s a little outdated though.
Oh, I saw the form response. I got exactly what you were trying to tell me, “balance character depth with the amount you will show of them and can show of them” essentially. I appreciated it, I’d just love your feedback on the larger story. Still, I didn’t see the Discord thing you said, it’s been broken for awhile.
I see, no worries
If you still want me to have a look at anything else, either contact me there, mention me or invite me to that group.
late to this, but i really relate to you on this one, and its great to hear you open up more
i remember when we first met, you told me “i am the anonymous” or something like that, and now, 2-3 years later, youre starting to open up
i think thats really cool
on a maybe less creepy note, im also on writers block, basically just a block on everything
so mayb we should block together 😣👉👈
