i don’t think there’s a year where it was VERY active, at least for me
it’s like everyday is an average tuesday-
Replying to:
I’m talking about physical health and general livelihood, not the website
You had me confused at first lol
-
Replying to:
i KNEW i misunderstood something
well, my physical health throughout the years were pretty much the same, still skinny (like my mother said)
still, it just felt like an average Tuesday
one time i broke my foot because i slid down a slope, and i walked it off, and SOMEHOW nobody noticed, i was literally limping

That’s an interesting question,
has me thinking,
It’s been a long time I’m sure,
Your getting a story out of me now you really have me thinking.I used to ride my bike all across my city, but, this is a minor but detail but it was important to me to keep a western look, so boots/spurs and ye old reliable sun shield 🤠 and honestly I did that style justice, and yes I just got into red dead at the time so of course this is the result of hyperfixation!
I only really remember that because people kept saying stuff to me abt it, like compliments,
In other words I had cowboy drip so good people couldn’t help but acknowledge my le epicnessBut yeah i would go around basically going places for my family you know, riding with my grandpa when he wanted, but most importantly: explored until I couldn’t anymore and had to go back home, even on the hot days and the dark nights I still rode and rode and it truly felt independent… but too independent, because these American roads are dangerous and peoples driving scares me. (lol but srsly hell no I still avoid some parts of the city)
Might pick that up again honestly, also this was in hmm I would like to say early 2023 to 24, it’s hard to say.
Great now it’s almost midnight and I want to go zoomin on my bike again.
(Hope this was a good answer lol) -
2020 was the most physically active year of my life
Nothing like saying “fuck you” to covid and doin a bunch of random shit with my friends through summer into winter
Seriously
The entire year of 2020 was awesome for me.

This isn’t just a normal QOTD, I actually really do want to know what you all think so I can gauge it, I’m putting something together for my future project drops and well- I just need to ask this question. 👀
That’s all I can say.
-
I think this video is what I can think of, only because it’s probably the most viewed stick nodes video of all time
-
Replying to:
that mid-ass thumbnail is forever burned into my brain because it’s what comes up every time i search stick nodes
mici needs to make it look better lol
-
-
honestly the first thing that randomly came to mind was the SN Kart era
i always like that idea lol
i think because i can see potential with it as an actual game
-
Replying to:
It’s kind of odd how many people mention that considering it was a relatively small project, but yeah absolutely.
We need SN video games in the future, or moreso stuff within the SN bracket, maybe one day.. 👀
-
Replying to:
Stick nodes spin-off games?
-
Replying to:
Make grand theft aussie its own game
-
Replying to:
Nah, it’s lacking to be its own standalone game. Concept-wise it’s decent arcade simplistic fun, which while I am a fan of, I don’t think everyone is and more-so Grand Theft Aussie going straight from SN to it’s own game I think would flop hard.
-
Replying to:
What about a SN themed minigame collection?
-
Replying to:
I’ve had that at the back of my mind regarding SN video games for soooo long now.
I’d love to see that become a thing but we’ll just have to see how SN progresses in the next few years to determine whether video games is a market we can tap into.

On a slightly unrelated note, would you mind putting this post as a link behind that old rainbow Stickfigure sidebar gif I made? As mentioned I really need results for this question so a little bit of extra exposure beyond the one-day period would be a help if you’d be willing, if not though that’s completely fine.

For me personally, ExiRay was the one who got me into downloading sticknodes (as i was big into transformers before i was into 19th century wars.) Darren Zcon however, was the one who got me into animating Madness Combat on the first place.
-
I’d say jackfly, epitaph (as much as I hate that) or Ralph
-
it’s def gotta be mici, i love watching that road to 100k series, or was it 1M?
either way, it inspired me to animate, and here i am
-
Animation: there’s a couple contenders. The subscriber special Stickguy posted is definitely up there. I also used to love Mici’s champion series, and it got me into boxing, which was a lot of fun. SlicK is insanely good at what they do, and their complete Godzilla VS Destroyah video might be my favorite Stick Nodes animation I’ve ever seen. The Mansion of Mayhem collab is probably my overall favorite Stick Nodes video, but that kinda feels like cheating since it’s a collab. Same with Darkboy’s Monster MAP, I used to love that a long time ago, and it introduced me to music I’ve enjoyed a lot.
Artwork: Not totally sure. If we’re talking stuff outside of the Stick Nodes app itself, probably Warlock’s pixel art with several different users. If stickfigures and stuff are included, it might be Jackfly’s Mr Calaca pack, as I still somewhat remember that Halloween contest.
User: it’s kind of impossible to pick just one. You, Ralph, Gigan, Jackfly, and others are all in the conversation for me. Unfortunately, Epitaph might also be there, since I was there to watch The Stick Nodes Movie in its entirety, and now he’s remembered for being one of the worst people to ever be in this community, although I don’t think I was there for all of that.
Group: 100% The Cursed Images Group. I think I peaked on this site when people helped me get Cult Leader as my first badge (back when it was a badge and trophies didn’t exist). If we’re excluding my managed groups, my first thoughts were “guests say the darndest things” and The Silly Cult, but it’s probably the Site Logs, followed by DWD.

savoury food would be better, you would get tired of eating sweet foods quickly

also wouldnt you get sick from eating too much sugar

Most likely yes but lots of people, especially younger people will drink 3 monsters a day, eating dino nuggies and whatever else blood-clotting sweet American snack.

I ask because some of the stuff you guys suggest could be something I add to my project roster, some of the stuff you might suggest could already be on there.. 👀
-
Sticknodes gamenights, we have a rather large community, so it wouldnt be an issue to fill up a server.
-
TBOSN. When’s it coming AniNodes?
Ok but seriously I guess either game nights like Wannabe Outlaw said or like actual official mod elections every year or something. The winners don’t have to be mods, they could just get an “honorary mod” role that does nothing but make their name look cool, and then it gets removed when their term ends. Also Tastylemon I need more hints on what this project is even if it’s like three words or even hashtags like the hints you’ve given us for now I need them
-
Replying to:
Keep going with your deciphering and I will drop more clues.

i like gamenights but i dont use discord so idk if we could make like a sticknodes group for that aswell if we DO do (doo doo) gamenights

Honestly, separate spaces for more child friendly/casual content, and stuff aimed at an older audience. Not like, full on nsfw, but a space for maybe more risqué characters, extreme gore, whatnot. The app is old enough that there are adults using it to make art, which may not be appropriate for young children. I don’t want to entirely shut down more adult art (again, not suggesting an official space for actually pornographic content, just, idk, stuff that you wouldn’t show a 12 year old), but a dedicated space to share and talk where young children aren’t going to be sounds reasonable.
-
Replying to:
I have no idea how you’d keep children off, but I imagine that it would probably be a combination of surveillance, and just throwing this out, making the experience of using the space inconvenient enough to make children, who are bored more easily, get board of using the space. Compared to the much more convenient and inviting regular site.

I’m honestly on the fence with this because in most circumstances I don’t really enjoy military style animations where you got Alpha Delta Red Squadron trying to collect the intelligence from the terrorist group, La Ultima Supenda 31 ( Fictional examples ) although the ridiculousness of OC battles is too much for me, it feels too blown out of proportion and a lot of animators get lazy basically so they add a barrage or something of that nature to fill the gaps.
Listen, there are different elements to both where what I’ve covered is still completely fine ( Keeping in mind this is all a matter of opinion anyway ) but seeing some animations fall flat because whilst the animating is good the overall backing elements fall flat or vice-versa.
-
I cant say I like or hate either. Both has their pros and cons.
Gun fights suffer from unrealistic aim, infinite ammo, or simply done unrealisticaly between two parties.
Super powered fights suffer from one or both parties power level fluxuating, becoming a incomprehensible fist fight, or displays the power apparently being planet destroying but only kicks up dirt. Or crack the nearest rock.Best super powered fight scene (imo) is Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
Them flying so fast literally caused mountains to move away, causing a giant lava cavern in the Earth.
Although it did still slightly suffer from the “Just kicks up dirt” issue (Like when Sonic punched Shadow into space, entire mountain should be gone.)
But it displayed what that type of force would cause the best imo.
Ik Man of Steel has fight scenes like that, but I havent seen it so I can’t say anything.-
Replying to:
Wait- pause one god damn second. You haven’t seen Man of Steel?
Bro, get on that shit ASAP because god damn, it’s all so good. Even the music, I hit a deadlift PR listening to ‘ Flight ‘ after failing it the first attempt. That’s just proof the film is amazing.
-
Replying to:
I mean, I dont doubt the fights, music, visuals and all of that are amazing.
But I’m a heavy character and story person, Zack hasn’t ever really been the best at that. So I always been thinking the movie would just be mid considering that.-
Replying to:
That’s fair and I can see why you’d have that stance. I’m not picky at all and usually my movie interpretive skills are about as good as a toddlers but I liked it for its overall meaning and representation.
He may not have been accurate to certain aspects and they could’ve worked on some things but in terms of awe and providing a meaningful set of concepts and overall banger music and fight scenes, they absolutely delivered.
I like that some studios even if they fuck up basically they can still provide an interpretation to character and people can pick it apart and basically create an indirect vague outline of what to do and what not to do.

I don’t watch a ton of Stick Nodes animations nowadays (though I’d like to), but I’ve never really been into military and gun stuff much at all, and most of the military animations I see posted here just don’t appeal to me. Whereas I’ve been into superpowers and superheroes for some time now, especially recently, and the fictional universe that exists mostly in my head leans much more in this direction.
-
Love them both for different reasons, though to be honest I’ve not seen a stick figure animation in ages…

back when i made my OC, basically a ridiculously looking version of my old author name, i tried to inject as much fiction into him as possible.
basically tried to re-invent myself into a whacky-ass cartoon.
im glad i didnt stick to it though, i like who i am now.
(this answer was deep, you can ignore it.)
-
Replying to:
You mean like you made a character that was like a self-insert but tried to acclimate to that and become like that yourself?
-
Replying to:
exactly that, yeah.
-
Replying to:
I get where you’re coming from, I was at a rough point when my ‘SN career‘ kicked off and it happening when it did meant I glorified it enough to want to be what I thought I could be and what I wanted to be through Tastylemon16. I still hold the values I had from before but I have new ones and generally had enough of my own life to experience as my IRL self to be able to do that and essentially become both or moreso just someone I am satisfied with, not that I lacked satisfaction anyway, but I think I’ll leave it there, I’m rambling-
-
Replying to:
i completely understand that.
i also try to experience my life IRL just as much as on here, if not more.
Sticknodes has become more of an escape for me when im overwhelmed with life itself.-
Replying to:
I used to enjoy SN to that standard a few years back when ( for me ) it peaked but since then it’s almost been about bringing that standard back or trying to elevate things to a point even beyond that. I’m in a position now more than ever where that is especially true, which in any case just means SN isn’t the escape for me, it’s just progressively becoming what I do.
The hope is that months, years down the line that statement isn’t something as a point of failure but of a sign of success.

dude one of my ocs is a little white gremlin in a yellow jacket that looks small but weighs the same as a dying star
Of course I base my ocs off myself
-
My oc… well my oc is a fucking truck and I look like a failed 1970s metal musician
Not really tbh, my oc is more of a dream build.
-
idk, i just animate stickfigures
(had to research before i even commented because i don’t wanna look stupid, a simple question i can’t answer, and im afraid to ask questions) -
One of my most recent OCs shares their skin color, interests and sexualities with me, but that’s basically the closest thing I’ve got to a self insert, and he’s not even the same gender as me since I made him when I was an egg
-
My first OC was just me but older, longer hair, and sunglasses like hawkeye.
My new oc (the stick version of the first one) back when I was a cringey animator 2022-2023, was just a blue guy and the only unique shit he ever had was pants and bracelets, and I thought it was cool to steal Nonex’s abilities and shit, then I changed it to Ice Powers and then now hes a fucking emo fag to fit my current state.
His motto currently is
“Kill them all”
And what best describes me
Is “ew emo fag”
-
Not really, I generally improvise their personality as I go if that makes sense
-
my main oc that i use for everything used to be based off of me back when i thought i was a girl but now has no ties to myewlf and is just a character and the main character of my novel, and for stuff like dungeons and dragons or any future oc related projects id still use either her or my fursona (that has yet to be developed) as thwt if i had to use an oc

Personally I like the idea of symbolic representation and I have my own interpretation of spirits and souls, not so much in the ghostly type of way but still, I do believe we all have a spirit so to speak.
-
I believe in god and karma
Other then that, not really
I mean I believe GM is cursed to never be able to make a good transmission… if that counts…
-
Definitely. I could give a 5 minute talk on why ghosts are real.
-
Replying to:
I’m listening
-
Replying to:
Seriously? Okay. Ghosts are real because of many major civilisations, which no link to each other, encountering something shockingly similar, which has become today’s ghosts. Recent studies has also shown that cavemen may have also had an idea of ghosts, as ancient cave paintings crudely depict that they buried dead, possibly for the ghosts to not escape and haunt them. Additionally, both the Greeks and Romans believed in a form of ghost, and many of them recorded ghost stories. Even when people did not believe in ghosts, ghost stories are still found from many ancient civilizations, which begs the question, why have so many unrelated peoples had such similar encounters? Possibly because some form of spirit is real, and all over the world. Nowadays, there are still traces of these ghosts, but they are deeply ignored due to modern standards. I believe that there are ghosts, or spirits, causing supernatural happenings, even today.

I used to meditate a little more back in school anyhow I’ve been getting into some breathwork drills amongst my training for focus and improved oxygenation to my blood, not to mention the mental clarity and calmness it provides me.
-
Every night I do some sort of meditation to give me better chances at a lucid dream occurring. I also use it during the day sometimes to help with overstimulation.
It’s simple, just requiring alternating focus between your sense of touch, sight, and hearing for around 20 seconds each.-
Replying to:
This is probably a silly question that I feel I should already know, but do you have autism? Is that what you’re referring to with overstimulation?

Actually it would be cool to ask about the process behind their music videos, how they go from idea to production to product.
