welcome to Slop Live, todays Slopic: Sora users protest against Sora’s inevitable Death Date

there isn’t much information on this at the moment, but it is reported that on places such as the Sora subReddit that Sora users are generating images of fake protests in order to “bring sora back”, with excuses such as “its a creative tool” being used in these videos. (amongst many other ‘crys from the… sora users’)

this is literally the reason why i made this group, this is silly, and since this is relatively new and I cant really give much info on this specific situation, how about I give some more information behind the reasoning of the Shut Down? (since nobody reads past the headline nowadays)

first of all, despite multiple sources saying it shut down on the 24th of this month, it actually wont officially shut down until September. (big bummer I know) but because of this, sora users are still able to generate videos (including the brief ones shown in Dolan Dark’s video below)

it isnt actually known why OpenAI has made the decision to shut down Sora, many assume that it probably just got too expensive (given this is the whole reason RAM is so expensive in the first place, that probably makes sense)

but some also believe that OpenAI has been neglectful/wasteful with their funds, contributing to an AI investment Cycle of which no real profits are generated outside of investment money.
one company funds one, than that company funds another… and so on and so forth.

im telling you all right now, this is a HUGE sign of a bubble. this is literally a ticking time bomb, and most of the internet seems to agree with me.
