TastyLemon16’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Series
I decided to create or attempt my own story linking into the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Series (JJBA) and so I decided to create a group for it to discuss how I will be going about it, stands, characters and much more. Stay tuned if your interested.
I am open to criticism and ideas so let me know if you have any. If there is any ideas i’m willing to carry through I will credit you once production of the character or stands make an appearance.
Just for disclosure I did take Inspiration from that other Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series that is also being created on Stick Nodes (I am sorry I forgot the name, but in my defence the name was changed recently).

I find it funny that this has been completely left for so damn long, some users have left and new ones came along by the time this has been left for.
It will continue to do so until I have the time and means to do so.
I have some real great ideas though that I feel will potentially change how we see the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure universe. That sounds big but if you knew I’m sure you’d see where I’m coming from.

It’s been a long time since I visited this project, optimistic me was thinking i’d get the series going by late 2020, we can tell how that went.
Anyway here’s some screenshots from when I was working on it:

If I can work on my digital art skills and have some higher end equipment, I can safely say, i’d work on it. I have a lot of fun writing, planning and making series but there are some limitations whether that be resources, time and motivation, these are my major setbacks.
The series will be in Manga form as animating it would take too long and I personally prefer Manga over Anime, you have more control over the pacing of the story and can stop at points where you really want to take it all in.

Not sure if you’ve seen Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s or watched it so what I’m about to say may be pointless.
The story I’m working on will be focusing on luck, how are stands manifested and what environmental changes affects them and of course your standard Jojo shenanigans. Sounds boring, definitely won’t be, I’ll begin work on it probably over the summer holiday’s which is coming up soon…

More progress on the series.
I’m making a Viking shield, well many but this is one of them. I would’ve done more although I am very tired from being woken up early by builders drilling at 7 in the morning. I would usually sleep through it although it was basically on the other side of my wall.
To think this makes up one small scene in the trailer is quite something. I predict it would take me a month or so to complete an episode and would either increase in time or decrease depending on whether certain stickfigures are made or not. I’m going to have to work for 3 hours everyday to complete a good amount and to not have a burnout.
I’m willing to do so.

I’m currently stuck on how to create backgrounds that follow a rule of no gradients but still fades out, it is possible to do although is far more challenging because I need to create icebergs. They tend to stay in a light blue / white colour so fades are hard to create.
I downloaded one of Vi_Hacks background pieces so I can get an idea of how to create it although it wasn’t anything I didn’t already know so i’m still stuck.
I plan on continuing progress tomorrow due to it being late and considering how i’ve been working on this for a long time today.
I’ve mastered cloud creation in jjba style. I just need to do the same with backgrounds.

It looks like nothing although a lot of anime relies on story, filters, dialog and progressive movement and in the trailer will remain slow paced until the character encounters something.

Before my series gets released I thought i’d get some opinions from some of you.
What would you like to see? Don’t be too vague otherwise how am I supposed to improve and satisfy the fans.

If it’s not too hard, really good choreographed stand battles. I like seeing users move with their stand and actually fight with them, instead of staying still and watching.

I see what you mean and I already planned to incorporate some really good fights with a lot of unique movements and abilities.
The main character will have a stand that is truly bizarre.

What if you had a stand user who had a close raged stand that was so fast and strong that it could defend them from anything and it can only directly attack at a specific time.

So a stand that can attack powerfully but for a short period of time and at a specific time.
It’s a good concept although if the user really tries than the stand can go full force but only for a short period of time naturally and creating a stand with that ability alone can seem boring.
Nonetheless a stand with the ability to use a strong attack but only at specific times and for a short period of time is interesting and I will definitely take this into consideration.

Also It’d have to be a villain, so that the main character could find a cool and unique way to defeat him like making him walk into quicksand or something.

It sounds good although it would need more than just punching strong in the morning as it’s ability, and ideally some reason behind why the stand is stronger during morning.

Good news, I am currently working on the First Look Trailer for my series and so far progress is going well. It’s mentally exhausting, to have to make clouds, sky, water etc. then add shading, outlines etc.
Good thing is though once certain assets are made they will be readily available to use and it won’t take as long to make the rest of an episode.

I would post pictures although there isn’t much to showcase at the moment.
I will be working on a lot of the Stickfigures and character design, plot myself, I could download stickfigures although chances are the person would want credit and plus it wouldn’t fit the overall style correctly.
This won’t completely be left to me however as voice acting, backgrounds and potentially music will require more than one person.

I wanted to create a practice stickfigure for my series were I would incorporate the anime style into a stickfigure.
Here is Ralph in Part 5 Anime style. I could have completely revamped Ralph with the right structure and everything but decided not to as that would take too long and would be easier to work with.

A lot of nodes were used although this was a base with a lot of features added and that already took a lot of nodes, maybe if I didn’t use polyfills for the shading it wouldn’t be so bad.

Is anyone here good with setting up Discord servers, more specifically bots and a timeout or banning system?
I want to release the Discord server as soon as the first look trailer is out.
It isn’t done yet so there is still time although it’s better to get it done and tick it off my list of things to set up. Not that I actually have one, that was a joke.

Second post:
Today I also worked on the first look trailer storyboarding for my Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Series. It’s all coming together really well and the way I laid it all out works conveniently. I look forward to animating it and releasing it to the world.
If anyone is interested in contributing towards the series let me know. Keep in mind however I will not be needing help in production of Stickfigures, I can accept:
– Voice Actors
– Suggestions over different topics
– Music
– Character design
That’s all I have to say about help.Here is a nice addition, I decided to name the stands by song names and it works better than coming up with names. Luckily on my behalf there was a song already called ‘Centre of the universe’.

Good news for the series.
A first look short film will be made presenting a few things which are to come, mostly things from episode 1 but will still contain some things from further on as well. I have a good way of animating it now, I will use storyboarding in rough sketches so I know how to make each character and background correctly. It should be out sooner then you may anticipate.
Not only that but the Discord for the series will be released at the same time.

I can understand this all seems minor to you all and you can’t see the potential in this series although I have one question that is genuinely in need of review.
Should voice-acting be a thing in this series and would anyone be interested in taking a roll. I am not paying anything unfortunately because I just don’t have the resources necessary although credits will be given and in great depths. Your work will not go unnoticed.
So what are your thoughts on this?

I thought yesterday to hype up people for my series i’d create my OC in JJBA art style from the anime and some features from the manga however I lost the footage and here I am with no footage and an unfinished project.
It actually looked really good.
I think I am going to try again and make an entirely new design, plus the previous one was okay and could use a few early touch-ups and better layouts.

It sounds ridiculous but actually I am quite proficient in Stickfigure creation and other techniques plus I can save scenes in small parts and combine them all to create an entire episode.
I’ve checked more than once and i’m 70% sure this will work.
In 2 months time the trailer for Episode 1 should be out. You may ask why not just a trailer for the whole series although I don’t even know what’s happening that far lol, i’ll have something though so don’t worry.
Plus a trailer for episode 1 will get fans hyped.

ngl 2 months is long for a trailer, but it depends on the amount of effort put in so it could be very well warranted

My last post was too long so here is a shortened down one:
The footage was a recording of me in the creation menu adding onto my OC with features from JJBAs Art style. It wasn’t a project.
2 months is a long time although so much needs to be added. Here is everything I will need:
– Characters
– Backgrounds
– My own music
– Great cinematic shots
– Sound effects
– Stands
– Shading and lightingThose are just rough things i’ll need. I don’t want to bore you with details.
Something to take into consideration with this series is it’s only one part so instead of the entire series being a collection of great build-ups and overall different things I will need to create such a good part that it can stand next to the whole series of JJBA on it’s on in terms of quality.
Also this is a massive strain for me, each time I even create one thing it makes me so mentally tired. I can still push forward so this doesn’t bother me although it’s still a lot for one person to do compared to an entire studio with Composers, writers, animators etc.

At last the plot, characters, locations, side stories and stands of Episode 1 and 2 has been decided. I now know what will happen fully in episode 1 and 2. I think i’ve put the most research into Episode 1. Good thing I did as well because I can include some history in the episode of the locations etc.
That green stand I was showing is the main villains stand ‘Frigid Alter’ there is no musical reference in the names for potential copyright plus I think it is more relevant to the characters and the plot. The first episodes take place in greenland and sweden in the 9th century.
The whole series will take place later in time as well but for a start I need to bring things back in time.

Yesterday I created a design for the Antagonists stand. Today I created it in Stick Nodes. This isn’t the official one either, this is just the Stand created with the same base I use for my OC.
I am trying to keep with the themes and times in my series, so patterns in certain places. The Antagonist is Norse. His Stand has norse symbols with small dots between them.
