(Welcome, Traveler!)
We assume you’re just an average person that due to some unfortunate circumstances, has glitched (more specifically, noclipped) out of reality and appeared in a bizarre new “world”. We’d like to inform you that you are in the “Backrooms”. Many other people, just like you, are stuck in this dimension. Don’t panic; you’re in the right place to help you get answers. Firstly, you should always try to get some company on your side, as there are reports of things in this place. Travelers who arrive here prefer to organize the different areas into separate levels depending on their characteristics. Each region – seemingly randomly generated – differs so greatly that it can be difficult to tell which you’re in. Many travelers, like you, have ended up in Levels 0, 1, 2, and reportedly, even Level 3 or higher. This wiki can help you through your travels in the Backrooms, and perhaps with each discovery, you can provide information for everyone else to make their journey here a little
What are the Backrooms?
The Backrooms are a labyrinth of randomly segmented rooms and halls. The first 3 confirmed levels share three distinct characteristics: loud buzzing fluorescent lights, yellow stained walls, and beige carpets with varying quality and age. So far, there are 3 generally recognized levels, with further numbers being unconfirmed. Each level has its own unique set of familiar characteristics. Excluding the aforementioned traits, each level contains a variety of different objects. Examples of these include random items ranging from furniture, to tools, to weapons, etc. Some of the items located within the Backrooms can be very helpful, and can sometimes be the difference between life and death. The Backrooms are generally considered to warp a traveler’s mind to what they think is most monotonous whilst retaining its core elements. Many may think it is one thing, while others think it is another. The levels also contain various different creatures, which can either attack you or not pay any attention to you – their behavior is seemingly as random as the Backrooms itself. The theory of “monsters” existing is backed up by the fact that reportedly nobody has ever made it out. Unfortunately, most people who encounter these entities only get to post the occasional eerie image or story before their accounts go dark.
Nobody has ever officially made it out, and nobody knows if it ends.
All Main Levels, All Main Negative Levels
Confirmed levels
These are the main canon levels in ‘The Backrooms Lore.’ They are the first levels discovered, and the first you’ll start out in. These levels range from 0 to 8, and vary from stable to extremely dangerous. Please note that all of these levels are unconfirmed due to the backrooms itself being mystery.

Level 1<Level 1 is a massive warehouse with concrete floors and walls, exposed rebar, dim fluorescent lights placed on the walls and a low-hanging fog with no discernable source. The fog often coalesces into condensation, forming puddles on the floor in inconsistent areas. Unlike Level 0, this level possesses a consistent supply of water and electricity, which allows indefinite habitation by wanderers providing that appropriate precautions are taken. It is also far more expansive, possessing staircases, elevators, isolated rooms, and hallways.
The fluorescent lights at any time can flicker and turn off for minutes or even hours. When this occurs, hostile entities may appear. These entities rarely attack in groups and tend to avoid light. If the lights turn off, It is strongly advised to try and navigate your steps, Try and avoid any strange noises and then find a room, Make sure to bring a light source with you.
A Hallway Leading To A Exit
A hallway of Level 1.
Crates of supplies appear and disappear randomly within the Level, often containing a mixture of vital items (food, Almond Water, batteries, tarps, weaponry, clothing, medical supplies) and nonsensical objects (assorted car parts, boxes of crayons, used syringes, partially burned paper, live mice, mice in a catatonic state that have been injected with unknown substances, shoelaces, loose change, bundles of human hair). The crates should be approached with caution due to their contents, but are a valuable resource.
In addition, crude paintings and drawings with no apparent origin or meaning appear on the walls and floors. They are known to change in appearance and disappear when not in direct line of sight or when unlit. The light fixtures within Level 1 are prone to flicker and fail at inconsistent intervals; when this occurs, supplies are liable to vanish inexplicably and hostile entities may appear unexpectedly. These entities rarely attack in groups, and tend to avoid light and large gatherings of people. It is advised to carry a reliable light source and sleep holding whatever items you do not wish to lose.Level 1 also serves as the entrance to The Hub.
