First, a quick quote from Portal’s Steam page:
“Portal is a new single player game from Valve. Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal has been called one of the most innovative new games on the horizon and will offer gamers hours of unique gameplay.
The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life 2’s Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.
Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.”
The Portal Collab is a StickNodes-based collaboration where contributors and their persona/OC(s) have to make their way through an Aperture Science Test Chamber trial, consisting of up to 3 chambers. All the while the Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System (GLaDOS) comments on their performance and m̴̧̦̬͙̲̘̬̟͌̎ǫ̶̨̝̘̞̺̖̪̞͖͎̳͚̐̋͜ͅć̵͇̮̠̟͍͉̞̲̼̟̘͚̦͙̲͛͒̒̂̀͐̅͝k̷̳̤̱͂́̕͜͠ș̵̨̠͙̮͚͉̼̦̹̳͔͕̿̏͗̑͛͌͂̑̑̆̚͝ ̵̟͗͊̄͑̈́͗͑͂͠ÿ̷̮̩̺͗̐̊́̐͆́͑̕͠o̸̢̦̼͉̝͆ų̴̛̖̤̝̥́̄r̵̡̹̣̹͇̻̞͚̘͔͒̀͝ ̴̧̲̰̀̄͑̀̇͒̀̒͑͝ẹ̸̢̱̘͇͓̲̞̦̖̟̰̺̟̽̌͒̂̉̾̓͐̎̕͝s̸͙̀̒̇̾̇͑̒́̇̍̌͘͜c̶͖̜̪̜͈̮̹̞̏͜͜a̷̗͕̭͌̚p̷̧̯̗̖̞͉̤͌̔̃̋̂̽͌̿̌͑́̚͜e̶̛̼̱̩̼̞̳͇̜̦̓̀͛͌́̋̀ ̸̨̜͙̲̦͖̯̯̤̖͉͒̉̋̓̐̎͗̓͗̇͘͝͝a̸̠̍̍̀ţ̷̧͕̞̥̺͚̞͔͕̳̲̠̮̠̍͂̈́͒͌̀̽̅̂̊̚͠t̶̨̰̤̘̤͔̬̮͕͎̺̲́̀͌̽̚͜͝ȩ̵̥̩̞͕̼̰̑̎̎̆͜ͅm̷̢̧̫̻̱̬̟̙̽̎͊p̶̡͉̈́̒́̈̎̏̑́͌͒̋͝͠t̶̥̪̰͈̠͇̪͇̲̣̓͂̐̂̎͆̈͐̓̓͊s̴̳͈͈̪̫͓͎̽͆.̸̻̼̖̟͚̙͈̘̜͉͓̲͗̇̄͊͝guides you through the facility!
Please note: Aperture Science is not responsible for the destruction of privately owned property, injury, or death. Do not look into the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.
The rules are fairly simple:
– 1 part per participant
– Parts can consist of 1-3 test chambers, each of increasing difficulty.
– Parts must be related to Portal, specifically the first game if possible (nods to Portal 2 are fine, however).
– Knowledge of the Portal series is advised. Play or watch gameplay of the first game before entering.
– If you use your own character, please make a Test Subject outfit for them.
Welcome to Aperture.
