Hey look I competed
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2059102510
(I’m on at around 3:00:00)
Twitch likes to automute for some reason but there is indeed sound
-
I got full body tracking, vive ultimate trackers
I don’t wanna talk about the price…
-
VR is a medium that is yet to be fully realized, and a big example of this is its multiplayer scene
Having two motion tracked controllers opens up all kinds of capabilities, and yet generic shooter games make up the bulk of the pvp genre
Ive seen maybe 2 legitimately good and semiactive non shooter pvp games, im surprised there aren’t more

The steam frame is very interesting
It’s a vr headset mainly meant for streaming
The issue with streaming is that it requires a very specific network setup to work well, which many people don’t have
The steam frame though comes with an adapter that will allow you to stream using just that
It also has a translation layer to run pc/pcvr games on the headset, which is android based. This makes me wonder if with some tinkering both pcvr and quest games will be able to run on it.
Very interested in the headset, even though with the ram shortage it’ll probably cost an arm, a leg, and three kidneys.

bonelab is peak

-
Elements divided is a peak game
-
Some more blade and sorcery stuff from yours truly.
-
-
Batman: Arkham Shadow is also a good game

I got an idea about the headstrap thing
Put an equal amount of weight on the back of your head
-
Replying to:
And preferably really close to the back of your head
I learned (through all of the minecraft clockwork vids I watched trying to make a fighter jet) that the inside of something spins way slower then the outside, the outside of a wing for example, the tip has to spin way faster then the prat that is connected to the jet, so you want a wing to be more narrow,
Or in this case
A… weight.. on your head… I guessI doubt you can even understand the waterfall of nerdy ass bullshit that just fell from my mouth but if it helps, it helps.
-
Replying to:
centrifugal force relates not to the weight on ones cranium
anyway yeah thats basically what replacement headstraps do is add extra weight
-
-
Replying to:
I can’t do that with the headstrap since it’s elastic
But yeah new headstraps usually do that, especially battery ones
I’ve gotten a bit more used to this one though

I may or may not have bought a quest 3s…

Different post from me, but here are some clips I took in B&S. Didn’t know there was a 3rd person camera… though it is a bit wonky. Still, looks neat imo. Apologies for the seemingly washed out audio, kinda just hit record…
Will hopefully post more art soon. I got the itch to make random sketches. Peace.

Bit of a different post from me, but Blade and Sorcery’s 1.0 update is blowing my mind thoroughly. Hands down the most fun I’ve had in VR to date.
Made a little poorly edited fight against the new golem boss. Obvious spoilers ahead.

wild thumbnail fake out

I love it too! I went gravity mage
Also this is a pretty cool edit! Putting in the site log
-
Replying to:
Thanks! And nice, gravity mages are hella fun. This game will honestly entertain me forever with the amount of builds you can mix and match. May your crystal hunts be successful.

Blade and Sorcery 1.0 comes out June 17th morning time pst for pcvr users (nomad will not be getting it for a while, most likely a couple months or longer)
for me that’s technically today (1:40 AM rn)
I have driver’s ed in the morning but after crashing a couple cars I’ll come back and play it
Can’t wait!
-
If you dont crash head first into a car full of young women in you driving lessons, i will crush your head into a wall like a watermelon.
real talk tho, good luck, the only time i tried to learn how to drive, it took me like 20 minutes to learn the basics.

-
Replying to:
20 minutes? That seems quick, or maybe I completely miss understand how people tame those steel beasts

I’ve noticed when playing vr sometimes I’d randomly feel like I’m having an aneurysm and fall down
Doesn’t last too long but it hurts a lot, looked on google and I’ve found nothing
Strange
-
M8 you might want to get that checked out by a doctor, or just don’t play to much VR,
-
im hijacking your brain via electromagnetic radiation

Replying to:
Thanks

If it ever happens again, STOP USING THE HEADSET IMMEDIATELY! Or at least, that’s what the disclaimer at the beginning says.
