i havent tried this but ive met someone who has , so im not 100% sure it works.

cost: $40 for both gtag and virtual desktop, 20 each.
Note that you can also use a long usb-c or usb-a cable to play via oculus link. You could also use airlink (for some people it’s not stable while virtual desktop is, and for other’s airlink is stable but virtual, desktop isn’t). Note for either one you’ll need a good *DEDICATED* 5g connection and your computer plugged into the router via Ethernet cable
Also thanks for making this tutorial

Replying to:
i dont use ethernet, but im getting one very soon. ill update wether the difference is good. note for like everything here, my gtag runs well on virtual desktop, though kinda laggyish at some times, at others its silky smooth. my computer is a m1 mac with windows installed through bootcamp
-
Replying to:
Oh, that’s cool to hear. Didn’t know you able to use VD without Ethernet, I just assumed you needed Ethernet like you did with airlink
-
Replying to:
you dont need it with air link either, ive used it. maybe thats why it sucked for me lmao
-
Replying to:
Yeah, not a necessity with airlink but it’s not a consistent or enjoyable experience most of the time, to the point where it practically is a requirement
-
Replying to:
when i used it bc my virtual desktop wasnt working, it ended up crashing without closing. my inputs were delayed a whole minute so i tried to quit back to quest while literally guessing where my hand was. also, my head movement was delayed as well. i would move my head and a minute later see black bars everywhere.
-
Replying to:
Yeah, probably because you didn’t have Ethernet. Could be something else though, idk
Glad VD works well though

Can’t wait till this releases, seems like a very solid game.
Probably going to get it on the PSVR 2 instead but it is also coming to PCVR. No quest support though
-
Anyways, I’m going to go watch Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
I hope it’s good
-
Replying to:
It was decent, not as good as flashpoint paradox though
Yet to see one of the movies top that one yet, but that was only the 4th movie, with flashpoint being the first

Aw man. I soon as I saw this game like moths ago with its first teaser I was pumped. That was until it wasn’t going to be on quest. Looks so fun. (I just like shooting, guns, and more guns).
-
Replying to:
Sorry to hear you were pumped about it but can’t play it. Maybe they’ll release a quest port in the future, many games do
If you like gunplay though, pretty sure into the radius and Resident 4 (Quest Version) both have good gun play. Not too sure though as I haven’t played them, that’s just what I heard
-
-
I didn’t know crossfire is popular
-
Replying to:
Nvm I take it back.

Resident Evil Village: VR Mode First Impressions
(Warning: Spoilers Ahead)Alright, so I’ve been playing Resident Evil Village VR for around 2 hours, so I’ll share my thoughts on it
This game is fantastic so far. I’ll explain why in the following categories. Haptics and Adaptive Triggers, Mechanics, Scariness, and Fun Factor
Haptics and Adaptive Triggers – Let’s start off with haptics. This game performs very well in this category, it really takes advantage of the headset and advanced controller haptics. Instead of just a simple rumble, the haptics really make you feel apart of the game. Mainly in shooting. They have subtle vibrations that in certain spots of the controller activate whenever certain events occur, like picking up the gun, and when you shoot, the haptics have different intensities in different locations and at different times to really make you feel like you shot the gun. Not to mention that the headset vibrates itself, and you really feel the power of each individual gun. The adaptive triggers are pretty good too, though the best use of those belong to Pavlov (in the games I played). Also, pulling back the slider on top of the gun never felt more real. It’s hard to put into words how good the haptics are
Mechanics – This game has very cool mechanics. Especially with melee weapons and one handed items. So far the only melee weapon I have gotten is the knife (and idk if there are any other melee weapons, haven’t gotten that far.), but the knife handles very naturally. You use trigger to switch between normal and reverse grip with the knife and flashlight (which the animation that plays in the hands while you do so is very satisfying), and with the knife you could throw it (and within like a second or two it teleports back to your holster. Not the most immersive, but it makes for some fun gameplay [which I’ll get into] and it’s convenient).
However, there are many flatscreen elements that transferred over to the VR mode. Such as many actions being animation based, like opening doors or crawling under things. This can lead to a loss of immersion but it’s not that bad. Also, your hand and items phase through things, but if you swing your knife marks appear on the thing you slashed at paired with a sound effect, and since it’s swung fast it doesn’t look unnatural.
Scariness – I haven’t gotten that far into the game yet (I spent a lot of my time in the tutorial and restarting on a lower difficulty since this game is difficult, I didn’t know you could swap difficulties after each death), but this game is pretty scary. Mainly because of the way the werewolves attack and jump scares. The werewolves normally ambush you, (and introduced in a scary way, the first time one is introduced it’s in a cramped space with dead bodies, and it rips apart of your fucking hand off) and are very hard to battle. Not to mention that they’re very quick and monsterous (is that a word?) in appearance. They attack by latching into you and ripping off pieces of your body, which is pretty terrifying when they’re up close.
Fun Factor– This game has very fun combat. I love how fast paced and difficult it is. The way you’re able to block, punch, throw your knife, and use guns (or do multiple at a time due to the dual motion controllers) allows for a lot of variety.
Honorable Mention – This game has some pretty good detailing and graphics. Sometimes the textures could look a bit weird (kinda smudged), but that’s just because if the lighting in some scenes and most of the time you don’t notice it at all</emm
Do I recommend this game if you own a PSVR 2? The answer is a resounding YES. Do I recommend it flatscreen? Idk, never played it in flatscreen and I probably never willUnrelated shitpost to catch your attention:

I bought Resident Evil Village for the PSVR 2 mode
I’ll play it for a bit and then share my thoughts on it

Thinking about getting PSVR 2 prescription lenses so I don’t risk scratching the lenses with my glasses
Yet again, I do get new glasses every year due to a change in my prescription. It’s not that major though, so I would probably only need to change them every 1 1/2 – 2 years, perhaps even longer. Yet again, that’s $50 every 2 years basically. Which is relatively cheap if you consider I get 2 years (give or take) of use out of it, but I don’t know if it’s worth it
Thoughts?
Should I get them

News by @chyll-75, releasing my side of the news soon (I lost my part of the news that I wrote, have to rewrite it)
Vr News
___________________Upcoming Games
_______________________There are many worlds that are awaiting ahead of us. New ideas, experiments, and projects being developed to come later this year. Well, let’s get straight into it.
Who you gonna call! Usually others would finish this tune off with Ghostbusters. Well what if I told you this time you are not going to call anyone. You my friend are going to answer the call in “Ghost Busters: Rise of the Ghost Lord”. In “Ghost Busters: Rise of the Ghost Lord” you will be brought to the Ghostbusters world with a new chapter of ghost hunting. Get ready in HQ as you Rome the streets of San Francisco to unravel the mystery in the campaign. Team up with friends or go on solo. Either way, they’ll be waiting.
Eren Yeager? Heh, close enough I guess. In “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” you can play and slay in the popular anime. Like what I did there? No. Hmmmmm. In “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” you will have to use your wits and teamworks to defeat the titans.
Boom, Smash, Crack! Get suited and booted up for one wild ride. In “Underdogs” you will be in a mech ripping apart your opponents mech. Leveling up and taking wins to put word on the street as a destroyer.
Long time no see Fred. Welcome to Arizona. How about I introduce you to my little friend? “Arizona Sunshine 2”. A part 2 of the continuation of the original game. A zombie game for all to enjoy. That is if you can survive. Become a bad**s as you kill zombies in this horrid apocalypse with a variety of weapons and tactics. Although you are not alone. As this time you have a nice, loyal alpha for legged creature alongside you. Is single player as well as co-op.
It’s time. Explore, parkour, and fight as 3 assassin’s in the game franchise “Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR”. For the first time in this games franchise history you are able to step into the reality of these 3 legendary assassin’s story and background. As you go throughout the story you will come across familiar faces, stolen treasure’s, and conflict. As well as revenge.
Blade ain’t got nothing on this. In “Vampire: The Masquerade-Justice” emerge from the shadows and hunt for the blood of mere mortals and other vampire prey. With side missions, ability for exploration, and become a powerful vampire. Uncover mysteries, kill with stealth, and become the next feared apex predator.
“Bullet Storm”. Play as Grayson Hunt as you crash land on an abandoned planet giving you a choice to survive or seek revenge. As a exiled member of the elite assassin group Dead Echo your desire for vengeance put’s your crew stranded on Stygia. There you can then confront the commander of his betrayal or get your team out of this planet alive. There is a choice to be made.
Kakegurui-Compulsive Gambler? Not quite, but I guess you can relate it to this in a way. “Death Game Hotel”, a secret tournament in which a contestant can have anything they want if they win. It’s kinda like any other gambling game. That is until you bet your body parts! Yes, you can bet your body parts in this game. Thing is if you lose I just guess you have to say goodbye to that part and hello to a distinctive side affect. Did I mention that cheating is indeed allowed! Try this experience in single or multiplayer.
The concept of tennis and pickle ball are all stuffed in a box to make a new sport? That’s a creative concept. Welcome to “Racket Club”. Experience real fun, movement, and people as you enjoy this new game with single or multiplayer as well as a career mode.
“UBOAT: The Silent Wolf”. A game where you hopefully don’t sink like a battleship. As a commander in World War ll submarine. Experience the story in single player campaign or lead a group of 4 friends on the battlefield in multiplayer. Achieve success and show your dominance on the waters.
Get a power washer and start spraying in “Power Wash Simulator VR”. Spray the grime and dirt away as you clean up the neighborhood. Relax and be stress free and take in the atmosphere.
“Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission VR”. A VR remake of the original 1987 railed shooter. Sticking with DNA of the original game and giving and providing a action atmosphere from 80’s action movies with a all new design and leaderboard. A few months ago a new criminal organization appeared out of nowhere. Accompanied by their high weaponry and drug trafficking they have developed a powerful new weapon. Once they had discovered several of the criminals camps led by the ominous General Viper, two officers were deployed to learn more about this new dangerous weapon and free taken hostages in the surrounding camps.Get ready for “Battle Bows”. In a far off land in a distant realm, inflatium is the source of life. I think they mean inflation? Anyway, those that are born there are living balloons, but due to the use of their resources they a…[Read more]

Bought Synapse for the PSVR 2
And it is an extremely game. The premise of the game is that you have to go into a terroist’s mind and get past levels of enemies to get to the subconscious for information on a bio weapon he plans on using. You have 3 different guns at your disposal, along with telekinesis (both of which are upgradable). You have to get past 6 – 7 levels to get to the subconscious in order to beat the game (though I think you ah e to replay it for the true ending)
Unless you choose hand aiming like a goddamn psychopath, you select what you want to use your telekinesis on with eye tracking (you can move mind blocks, explosive barrels, enemies, and grenades). It’s extremely responsive and makes the whole telekinesis system em seamless as you don’t even have to sim at all (besides looking at the object) to use telekinesis. The telekinesis system also works very well.
You start with the pistol but can unlock the other two weapons via upgrades. You get upgrades by completing game achievements, and those upgrades and be spent to purchase skills, health upgrades, weapons, and more. There are also points called “defiance” which you collect by killing enemies and walking near where they died (there should be a pile of it on the floor). These are spent at basically in game vending machines (an in level upgrade shop, basically) for modifiers and health items purely for that round. There are also healing fountains (not what they’re called but I forgot what they were called, might be healing vats, idk) and gun/telekinesis upgrades (you also switch your guns at that place) around the map. At the end of each level you obtain a power up which can be used for the next round for free. (There’s a chance they stay with you for all the rounds after until you die, I forgot which happens).
When you die I think the run starts over though, frustrating but the game would be very short if it didn’t happen. Also, the game utilities the Sense controller’s adaptive triggers very well, too explode exploding barrels with telekinesis, you lift it up by holding the trigger down a bit till you feel resistance, and than pushing it down further to blow it up. Works very well and I very rarely accidentally blow up a barrel. The gun’s also use the adaptive triggers to simulate a trigger. The game also uses the eye tracking for the upgrade menu and upgrade point collection menu.
Very fun game so far

To anyone with a vr headset that supports this game
I recommend Swordsman VR. It’s sorta like Blade and Sorcery, but less of a sandbox and has a progression system, and you could level up different stats.
The physics may be hard to get used to at first (sometimes there are glitches, not much though. Just if you come from blade and sorcery, the physics are a bit different), but they are actually pretty good once you get used to them
The reason I recommend it is because the enemies are actually challenging to face. They dodge your attacks, block fairly well, and make minuscule but quick strikes (most of the time they do two quick slashes and you’re dead, so you have to make sure to dodge and block). They don’t overswing and make huge openings, they are highly defensive. They are also covered in armor a lot of times too, so you have to strike in certain areas not covered, making fights sometimes last a good couple of minutes. There are also bosses, though I haven’t gotten to one yet. (I spent a lot of the time messing around in the sandbox mode)
Solid 8/10 game. I have it on the PSVR 2 so I don’t know how it is on other platforms such as the Quest, but I imagine it isn’t that different, probably some visual downgrades and perhaps a downgraded physics engine like Blade and Sorcery: Nomad (maybe). Great game to those looking for a challenging sword fighting game and not just a fun sword fighting sandbox experience like Blade and Sorcery (though it has better physics, it’s enemies are extremely easy to beat).

Mini review would come tomorrow. Today I didn’t get much use with it. The headstrap is very hard to get used to coming from anon halo strap but I’ll get used to it and soon learn how to adjust it properly

Replying to:
I got used to it
Now I could use it for around an hour without headaches

I have the PS5 lol
-
Nice man. Good to know you received your well awaited package. Have fun with your new PS5 and PSVR2. A game called Crossfire Sierra Squad is eventually supposed to be released on there. Looks like a good vr fps game. Think you might like it the fact you enjoy Contractors. If you need any help setting up your PS5 I’m happy to try and help. Username on my PS5 for PlayStation is Chyll-75 or Will Wilson.

Replying to:
I do show interest in Crossfire Sierra Squad, I might buy it depending on what the reviews say when the game comes out
And I did get the console setup, thanks for the offer though. Also I’ll probably friend you tomorrow, as right now I’m in bed

The PSVR 2 (and PS5) were recently shipped and it is supposed to be coming Wednesday
Yay

Watching WWDC because they’re going to reveal the apple headset here, most likely, since they did invite many vr news companies and popular enthusiasts in the vr community to watch it
Can’t wait until they reveal it, even though I’m not buying it, still can’t wait to see what they do with it
-
I think they’re revealing it last since it’s probably the biggest launch of this event, so they want to keep their viewers watching the whole thing, and not just clicking off after they reveal the vr headset
-
Replying to:
Yeah actually I’m not watching this, I’ll wait until after
I want to rip these annoying, robotic people’s heads off for not just getting to the point with what they’re saying.

Holy shit they announced it
I rejoined it too late though, and I can’t rewind for some fucking reason
Edit: From what little due to joining in late I’ve seen it’s extremely impressive, I’ll write up the main features and post it on the group soon

Replying to:
This is fucking amazing
I know I can’t afford it, nor would I have much use for it, but man
It’s fucking amazing

So I ended up finding my battery
Also, I will post a mini review of the PSVR 2 after using the headset for a day, and a detailed one after a week for fun
So, if you’re interested in that kinda stuff, check the group after Thursday or Friday I guess

I backed into a pillar upon being threatened at virtual knife point, hit my head, fell down on the ground, and now my somewhat expensive battery from my battery strap is no where to be found. And if I can’t find this or it’s broken due to potentially flying across the room, I can’t buy a new one due to me spending $1,000+ dollars on a ps5 and psvr 2
This was the best vr session ever
