Tanks were rarely seen abandoned the ones left behinds were mostly out of gas or their tracks either jammed or broke from rolling over way too much infecteds, tanks were mostly used to clear off large hordes that approaches the wall
Trucks were seen sometimes abandoned its obviously used to transport troops inside and outside, nothing special about them, just transport.
