    Menlo’s City Guards
Basically the National Guards of Menlo City, I thought it’d be nice to give them a patch for it instead of nothing, just to add some extra details to them, also to make them stand out a bit and feel more unique, instead of being a generic soldier dying within a second into the zombie apocalypse.

    Border Patrol
They Exists!!! Border Patrol is Apart of the Menlo City Guards, since Menlo City is close to a rather rude neighboring Country, border guards are always stationed at the borders of the two countries.
Their boring life soon comes to an end as they’re called into the city to evacuate citizens from the eastern side of menlo city.

  • Hello guys, hope you are having a good day. As promised this past weekend, I have submitted the MIDF movieclip as of 3 minutes ago. Accompanying the stickfigures is a spew of yap about the MIDF, just conceptualizing the idea. I decided that’d I’d share it here too for anybody interested.

If this ain’t your type of thing, feel free to scroll past the wall of text. This is all fanmade btw, and is no way canon to TWS. A picture of all of the stickfigures in the MC (seperated into 3 different frames) is also attached.

    MIDF lore-dump

The MIDF (Menlo Irregular Defense Force) is a Paramilitary-organization formed by the Menlo Government in response to the rapidly growing TW-30 outbreak taking hold of Menlo City. The MIDF is made up of part-conscript, part-volunteer forces pulled from men ranging between the ages of 18-38,though there are some exceptions to this rule.
The MIDF was formed to hastily pull together much-needed manpower to supplement and hold the line against the TW-30 outbreak. As a result, MIDF recruits can be shipped off from bootcamp after as little as 3 weeks of training, owing to enormous casualty rates due to unpreparedness of most soldiers for the intensity of combat- especially against the wretched hordes of zombies. The amount of time required to train a member of the MIDF is a fraction of that to do the same for a MGF or MSTOC recruit.

MIDF are primarily an infantry-based force, carrying a wide array of weapons and weapon-types to supplement the lack of armored vehicles. The MIDF are like a younger brother to the MGF, as they are allocated the hand-me-downs of the MGF- old, outdated equipment that has been phased out and placed into armory reserves, now dusted off and put back into action under use by MIDF infantry. The MIDF carry everything from RPGs, to large tripod machine guns used to fortify positions, to a diverse array of rifles, SMGs, and other small-arms. This extends to their equipment as well, and many MIDF combat personnel can be seen wearing webbing instead of platecarriers or modern-day vests, or nothing at all if such liberties could not be afforded.

The MIDF are minute-men of sorts- placed in small outposts or encampments scattered throughout roadways and areas that the MGF simply cannot be bothered to cover or dedicate precious resources to secure. In this sense, they are often the first-line of defense and as a result- can see upwards of 75% casualties in the field of battle before help can arrive, especially if special infected types or large quantities of infected are present which MIDF personnel are ill prepared for. There are seldom any abundance MIDF veterans that remain after several weeks of combat- though the experience is valuable and such men- the small lucky bunch of their bootcamp generation- are given NCO or officer positions in the MIDF. However, with the lack of adequete support and overbearing micro-management (Or the complete opposite, simply left forgotten by the chain of command and left to their own devices) from MGF headquarters, the loyal few who remain in the MIDF even after the hell they had went through can only watch as fresh meat is thrown into the grinder that is Menlo City.

The MIDF is not a great organization to be part of evidently. Many troops simply desert on the field, and several large groups of MIDF personnel remain scattered about in isolated pockets throughout the city, fending for their own. The limited firepower and supplies they’ve been afforded by the powers above have given them atleast a fighting chance in the hellscape and rapidly degrading situation at Menlo.

    • That’s some bitter end to them, unprepared for the horrors they’ll experience as the virus progressively evolve stronger variants.

I miss the MIDF logs, will they make a comeback?
