The problem isn’t really old users, but active users I think.
Amount of users that visit the site daily, unoptimised code, elements that load too often etc. All gets sent back and forth between server and client and just probably sucks arse.

It’s mainly finding someone who can design a site to handle UGC… Honestly you might just need to put up a job offer on some site and see what happens.

you do realise that eventually you’ll have to transfer to that anyway, right?…

To be Frank, I’d ditch the intro ideas. They were like more of 2010’s thing.
Although I find it hilarious when I see a 20 second intro with copyright free EDM music blasting my ears off, then show off like 5 second animation.

Tbh, if you feel like it, I’d say go for it. Kinda curious how it would go

Honestly you prob could just use Wikia for it, but generally speaking, what would you plan on putting up there?

Messages like these make me want to just reply with “k” to just see the tangent they’ll go at.

Honestly I kinda pointed out that before but you went over it without saying anything so lmao

So you’re saying it would convert background images to sprite and place an ugly ass node on the middle of my canvas, as well as potentially fuck up X and Y scaling, cause you tend to do that, for the luxury of being able to put a funny hue filter on top?
You’re making a hard bargain…

Get a low res image, best result would be 2×2 black & white tile or something and set it as background.
Then look at the top and bottom of canvas and see how funky it gets -

Here’s an issue: current BG images have this weird-ass blur/anti-alias that crops itself on the canvas borders. I don’t think getting rid of it would cause problems though.
If you were to actually go for changing bg’s, I’d think choosing BG from Visible & Imported sprites drop down menu. Kinda how you can select/switch sounds.
