Does ANYONE have advice for these cyles (the running cycle looked off so I was making sure. Also I’m a dumbass because I had to repost this for the THIRD DAMN TIME. The other two I deleted.)
the walk cycle isn’t bad you just need him to go up and down a bit
the run is you trying to animate every frame, whereas a run is supposed to be fast
when the leg hits the ground it should almost immediately be sent back as the person is moving forward at a high rate of speed, in one or maybe 2 frames
You need to make the legs move in a smaller motion, and as you increase speed you are closer to the ground, your feet move in an elliptical pattern, similar to riding a bike, and as you increase your speed you will squash your ellipse so it looks more like he is pushing off from the ground. but I haven’t animated in a while so I wouldn’t know. But also follow ralph’s advice
Make it faster and more push off from the ground.
I’ll try that.
All I know is the bounce is off. Completely
Forgot to mention I’m using 18fps

don’t be afraid to add style and creativity to it
and the body is very rigid, with only only 1 frame of movement up/down rather than a smooth/eased “bobbing” motion
Will fix those
Here is a version I did with the advice I got (Ps: Thanks manny)

So you are saying after my character hits the ground I have to squish the leg? (Meaning I have to shorten the length of the leg?)
No bend the knees to make it look as if he is pushing off
Okay then I’ll do it when I get the time
