There had never been a greater fall from grace than that of Breakloose.
For some, the name “Breakloose” dredges up memories of thrilling, genre-defining fights that captured the eyes of millions. Scenes of a small red bot wrestling titans and always emerging victorious, earning the aw and applause of an ever-growing crowd.
His story of fame took a tragic turn when Breakloose, after denying medical attention for cycles, lost control of himself and brutally dismantled an opponent in front of his largest crowd. The violent incident was deemed a result of building, unchecked neural processor trauma, but the scandal was too great, and his condition made him too big a risk to keep.To others, the name “Breakloose” belongs to a horrifying creditor. Following his fall from fame, Breakloose found family in the arms of a crime family known as “The Raiders.” Having ascended to the rank of captain, Breakloose oversees his own racketeering schemes. Keeping in theme, Breakloose sees great success overseeing fight clubs, where he rakes in money from the lost bets. He’s more than profitable, and is often used as a tool to extort money from the stingiest of debtors. When an envelope comes in light, Breakloose is among the first goons dispatched to handle the problem.
His feral condition had never left, but he learned how to manage it. Every day sees him Injecting himself with a slew of chemicals, and in that high he obtains a sense of normalcy. Total sobriety sees the loss of all higher mental function and a horrible all-consuming panic, causing him to viciously attack anyone within reach, regardless of relationship. Grim as that is, Breakloose’s racketeering success has given him more than enough cash to stay perfectly sedated, and his fight clubs allow him plenty of opportunities to wrestle, just as he used to.
