Nestled among the volcanic ashenlands of Ytargosโs frozen surface are the twisting, towering, tapering rihika stalks. Fed by hot springs, warmed to near boiling by the fumaroles, and chilled to equilibrium by the frigid winds, these sulking tree-like tendrils exist in a delicate balance rarely found on Ytargosโs surface.
Prior to their cultivation by the tauleer race, their existence was a job that took two. These plants were pollinated by a subterranean boar-like creature. Every spring, these predators would exit their caves and return to the surface to hunt, and would follow the sickly sweet aroma of the rihika flowers. Upon arriving, they would happily lap up the pollen-laden syrup oozing from the flowers, and would inadvertently pollinate the next rihika stalk they visit with the pollen stuck to their nose.
Rihika stalks are now farmed in greenhouses across the Neighborhood, and are commonly used in cooking for their unique flavors. It is said that the stem tastes of spicy ginger and sweet potato, their fiery petals taste like basil, and that the flowerโs syrup tastes like blackberry jelly.

Millions of years ago, the continent that the would-be pythins (species of the character above) lived on split apart, splitting the species in half. The two populations evolved independently and became two entirely distinct animals: pythin and mahkae.
The left design is meant to demonstrate a connection to the mahkae, which is pictured below.

Drawn by Wendi or Wendigo or whatever the Fauntra dude goes by nowadays. This drawing is old as shit but it beautifully depicts a mahkae. -
Hey guys Iโve been redesigning my alien OC Tiaseeb, and Iโm just not too happy with it so far. I think he looks too human and ITS MAKING ME WANT TO TEAR MYSELF APART AND EAT THE PIECES
So which body type do you prefer? Left or right?

Yes I know this was going to be a double feature. It was gonna include the Jhulbar tree as well
But you see, and you may not know this, so if this is new information to you I advise sitting down and buckling in, but I am lazy. And busy. And distracted. And any other number of excuses or whatever works for you.
these are like the things Beerus be eating on other planets to deem if they’re worthy of not being destroyed
