Scratch I don’t really trace I do look at reference but every character in my manga is original
Better than I can draw on paper and I can draw good ig (mostly good at food)

Also if your talking bout the eyes for more kiddish eyes I make the eyes bigger for teen-adult figures I use smaller narrow more angled eyes
