The beautiful, sprawling Salt River Canyon. Photos taken by me
It’s not the Grand Canyon, but it’s still absolutely breathtaking. A lot better in person, obviously, as with most pictures.
Drivers in Arizona are usually just complete morons, but along the ridge of the canyon, everyone drove VERY slow and cautious. I’m not sure if they were scared of flying off the edge, or if they were admiring the landscape; either way, definitely made it a lot better
There were a few car wrecks at the bottom of the basin along the wall, along with many flowers and crosses on the barricades. Didn’t take any pictures of that, felt a bit disrespectful, not sure why
I can go on for hours, hating on my state, but the natural beauty and sunsets (not featured here, obviously) are undeniably gorgeous. Almost makes you forget you’re baking in the average year-long heat of 120Β°FIn other news, Stanchion is in progress. After it’s done, I’ll probably take a small break from making figures – like a week to a month, we’ll see

120Β°F
Dude do you die everyday when you step outside
No, I’ve gotten used to it by now. Tradeoff is I consider any weather below 80Β°F to be freezing cold, unfortunately. If the weather says it’s 70Β°F I’m going out with three jackets and a few blankets
Warlock…
My friend.
How are you not incinerating
Very carefully
Goddamn mate 😭
Epic shots there man
Thanks big man, almost died for these – wind tried blowing me off the edge a few times. Thankfully, from my Stick Nodes experience, I’ve got impeccable hand strength, and I’d be able to gouge my fingers into the canyon wall to slow my fall
