As well as a slight jitter from the sword as it adjusts to the place it has just been stuck in.

what do you mean by scene framing? Also, there’s a little shake on the hits, but I just do one frame where teh camera goes down a bit. Should I do something else?
perhaps some motion blur/whoosh effects?

The blue guy didn’t even hit the black guy, he just punched the air and the black guy fell
it was intended to look as if he was hit in the legs, which flipped him.
I think you should try looking again, it appears that he hit his lower leg.
i just added motion blurs and it looks better
Yeah, but his arm goes past his leg and punches the air instead
hmm… maybe making it more 3d would help?

the hit the guy took and bounce on the floor – nicely animated
better scene framing (don’t use the very-bottom of the camera) and some slight cam shake (very subtle) on the hits would make it more solid feeling
