@beanr here’s my Idea for your RHG (the Samurai dude).

Story: he was once a simple Samurai with a simple life with his beautiful wife, Aika. With years of prosperous peace within his Cherry Blossom tree filled mountain village, the two would spend time together in the many fields of pink flowered trees and crystal clear ponds. Unfortunately, his life took a dark turn when he came home one day to find his house destroyed, belongings burnt and wife missing. Immediately, retrieving his old Samurai armour, he went out in desperate search of his loved one. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months. Eventually, he made way to a dark tower atop a mountain shrouded in black fog. Braving the harsh conditions, he climbed the mountain with the heavy weight of his gear pulling at him to stop but his will pushed him on, he would not give up so easily.
He reached the tower and kicked open the door letting cold winds blast into the dark room. Drawing his Naginata, he stormed the tower, cutting down various mythological horrors like Spider women and skeleton bats. He finnaly reached the summit but all was in vain. His wife, his poor Aika had been beheaded, enchanted and made undead, turned into a freakish creature called a ‘Krasue’. Rage tugged at the Samurai’s throat as he gripped his Naginata’s shaft hard enough to hear it crack and bend under his strength. But, he put aside his anger, his hate for the one who did this and instead put away his weapon, removed his helmet, and he talked to the Krasue. His wife’s now floating head, though monstrous in appearance, seemed to remember him, seemed to have not fallen insane withing his presence. They returned home, neither of them the same since.
To this day, the Samurai and his Krasue wife still wander the land in search of a way to revive his wife completely and to return home once again.
