The reason why Adobe pulled the plug is that Flash had many security issues, and there were better alternatives at this point in time, so they announced they were stopping support, and will officially pull the plug at the end of December 2020, which is this year.
I don’t think there’s a Flash 2.0, or any reason to develop one, as there’s HTML and Unity out there. -
I feel a bit sad that flash games will cease to exist soon.
Even before 2020 started it was not going to be a good year, in my opinion.
Flash games will simply stop working.
It’s sad to see it go. -

F for Flash
Flash 2.0 when?
The reason why Adobe pulled the plug is that Flash had many security issues, and there were better alternatives at this point in time, so they announced they were stopping support, and will officially pull the plug at the end of December 2020, which is this year.
I don’t think there’s a Flash 2.0, or any reason to develop one, as there’s HTML and Unity out there.
I know that a lot of the newer games and stuff can just port everything over, but I’ll miss those old games that the devs forgot about and won’t be able to port.
