Knowing immigrants lets you realize they’re not here to rape you and steal jobs they’re strugglers escaping countries that in part have also been screwed over by America , talk to lgbtq+ folk to realize they’re aren’t psychopaths trying to castrate your kids and sneak into bathrooms , they’re people open to being themselves and outside of especially religious norms , they want to be just as happy and as free as everyone else should be , and while you don’t have to necessarily agree with groups at first (this isn’t a green light for you (not saying you are transphobic) to not view trans people as their real and preferred gender) , trying to understand and connect with groups is the first step towards accepting that your view on the world as a whole isn’t the one and only

There’s no trans menace , there’s no immigrant uprising , there’s no constant uptick in the violence people of color commit , there’s only fear mongering and the abuse of the fact that minorities are people , and any crime or action done by one is overblown to blanket all as a single evil

If Fox News is pushing stories about Haitian immigrants eating pets and raping people , research it , look into the people spreading those stories and find out if they’re true

Smaller channels like Leeja Miller keep up well enough with the general political spaces and people always catalog lies like this

I’ve watched other channels like Kat Blaque but generally politically geared channels again don’t always paint the best and real picture

It’s a hard thing to really answer since I don’t have one news source nor a platform where I get all my news from (unlike Ralph who happily parades around with his Nazi and pedophile bot account pro-Elon allegiance over on Twitter)
