There’s a bit of “lore” on why there’s a mask version of her that’s like , “ghost like” right behind her face

Apathy is her other personality , one that was born in the wake of mourning the supposed death of her best friend and lover , Alisdair

Though they were young when all he events went down , they both of course imagined living out their lives together , usually giving each other the stereotypical “puppy love” teens give each other while dating .

The supposed passing of her partner , broke her completely , vowing to never fall for another man again to commemorate him .

Apathy was born out of spite to everyone that surrounded the situation. While Eleanor grew closed off , scared , sensitive , “weak” , Apathy was the complete opposite , loud , bombastic , but most of all , yearning for vengeance.

Her name comes from the reaction everyone gave to Alisdair’s life , that being Apathetic

There was never an attempt to help him after his father passed , there was no attempt to help him when his own mother fired a gun at her , there wasn’t even a attempt to help him when he was threatening to off himself

No law enforcement , no family , no friends , no one truly stepped in to help . The only thing she witnessed from them was how they supposedly “cared so much for the boy” or “we did everything we could” bullshit she saw first hand . The news story came and went as if it was just another day in the office , a whole life lost , lives changed , destroyed

And yet , the only thing she felt was the burn of the word “Apathy” burn itself in her mind”
