I never said you thought criticism doesn’t exist, I said saying the criticism I WAS TALKING ABOUT doesn’t exist

Also f#%k.
I just retconned myself
Let’s just classify Hate that doesn’t help anyone as “Mindless hate”……ok?

Also I usually don’t accept most friend requests based on status
It’s really annoying when someone who hasn’t spoken a word to me to give a friend request

Also once again, you act like there’s nothing you can get from hate
I know most hate is mindless, but if people attack you for stuff like attitude, personality etc etc, then you should probably reflect on yourself and try to see what they’re going at.

There’s nothing wrong with having fun but using that as an excuse for shoddy work is bad
You also gotta be wary of the rather hostile environment of the internet
Look up any video about critique on YouTube and most of the time the comments are cancerous.
That doesn’t mean it’s an impossibility for people to be nice, but if there isn’t a toxicity rule on where your posting, you outta expect a negative response
Also you still haven’t done what I’ve asked you to do, which is provide an example of my “hate” anywhere that isn’t out of context, and cannot be explained away

Now this is just personal experience, but usually make friends with peeps at my level, but that’s a moot point, as it’s completely subjective.
Everything isn’t black and white, people have different definitions for things and such. Let’s take introverts for example,
The definition for introverts is: “A shy, reticent person” but introverts are more than that aren’t they?
The definition for depression is: “
feelings of severe despondency and dejection“ but it’s more than that inn’it?Like I said hate does exist, but sometimes words are more than definitions.
Also m8, m8 m8 m8 m8
M8
Saying the criticism I’m talking about doesn’t exist is flat-out retarded
Epitaph can be calm with his criticism sometimes, it’s just that it’s very rare
And maybe that’s a problem, but I don’t see it as much as a problem as you do.
ALSO CRITIQUE, SUGGESTIONS, AND HATE ALMOST ALWAYS FALL UNDER OPINION.

I really only get mad when they make a stupid excuse like “it’s just for fun”
You see, that’s the flaw in any arguement
I mean it’s not like you were flexible during the agreement
But the futility of arguements like this is that they don’t get resolved
One just leaves, and no one gets satisfaction.
The only thing anyone leaves with is a negative opinion of the other person
But whatever

Don’t just say “Cause I wanted to do this” or “I’m just having fun” because 1. Sometimes this line of thinking can come off a bit pretentious, and is also a lousy excuse, but just because you wanted it this why DOESNT ALWAYS MEAN ITS GOOD.
2. I have already stated this, but if you truly wanted to something for fun, don’t show it to strangers on the internet.

YES because you can only really name a couple off the top of your head though I can say I was wrong saying they were the minority, they still aren’t as rampant as a lot of people say they are
Ok let’s name people who do dis “Stig hate”
There’s Epitaph, let’s get the obvious one out the way
There’s me I guess, even though I’m not really aggressive much on my original post
There’s Dezway I guess
There’s IK4R
Chrono comments sometimes, but it isn’t really aggressive
Ok the point is, this community is really small
There may be thousands of accounts but more are inactive, Hell, most people who recently join aren’t around long
There’s really only 50 people actively and consistently posting comments and posts and such
Whilst sure the stig fig “hate” isn’t as minor as I might’ve made it out to be, it isn’t as rampant as some suppose.
What qualifies as criticism dude? It’s extremely muddy. There are a lot of forms of criticism, so you can’t definitively say Epitaph’s is hate
Critique isn’t always sugar-coated or nice, or always provides solutions. Most of the time they just say what’s wrong with it, leaving yourself to fix it
I DIDNT THO. I try to recommend tips and suggestions based on the proposed ideas shown to me
How is that hate?
Hate is something that’s not helpful to anybody.
YES it exists, but not in the capacity you say.
Epitaph has explained many times why using a scarf fig is bad, or why Scythes are bad, or why Katanas are bad. Now sometimes this is opinions but that’s the thing about opinions, it’s your choice to listen, and his rants on why _____ is bad can provide helpful to some folks.
I don’t advise not listening to advice as then you’re gonna end up most of the time with an uncoordinated mess.
Even hate comments can provide helpful if you just asked “Why does this suck?” And if they answer ask them “How can I improve it?” Or CALMLY tell them why it works in an intelligible way.
Epitaph’s comments that just seem like hate is because he doesn’t feel like explaining, cuz’ he’s done it over, and over, and over, and over!
He’s personally getting tired of having to explain his thoughts, so YES it does come off as mindless hate.

ONCE AGAIN.
Sharing with a friend and sharing with a complete stranger are 2 entirely different scenario
If you were to show something to someone of relatively good relationship, odds are, they’re gonna tone down their response. Hell they’ll probably give you unearned praise simply because you’re their friend
You gotta learn to read the audience, know what they want, etc.
This process is simple, make up a quick fig, show it to your parents/friends/siblings/guardian/S.O/what ever, then show it to someone on the internet. The response are completely different depending on their relationship with you.
I’m not criticizing them simply for sharing, I’m criticizing them for always expecting a positive response…..on the internet
People apologizing for simple figs are in the minority also, it’s just that this isn’t that big of a community. Only like, 50 people actively post on the activity page, which is why you see such a clear split in ideals. Also no, there isn’t any “huge disagreeing” there are just big fights usually involving @epitaph200 . Most of the time no one really cares when someone like me post a-not even that harsh-criticism encouraging more detail.
A lot of people think that Epitaph has created this META that if you EVER suggest more detail you’re being just like Epitaph who notoriously uses harsher criticism.
If you simply suggest a more detailed design you’re somehow an circlejerking, trend following, ass-riding, asshole who shoved their opinion down someone’s throats.
Also it’s a common fact that popular people shift the trends and meta, you may not like it, but it’s true
If you simply choose to reject this meta you’re gonna get excluded. You may not like that, but it happens
I have every right to to judge them, just as you have every right to disagree, it’s called FREE SPEECH, and on a PUBLIC website, I can say whatever I want and I have the right to, even if it’s a bunch of stupid sh!t that doesn’t help anyone.
Oof, the mincing of words, two can play at that game.
“Woah he’s giving criticism, and he’s…..not that popular BUT STILL! He’s obviously shaming the person even though he didn’t use any derogatory statements towards the person in his original post! I must get on this quick!”

You also have to keep in mind that the meta, trends, and overall tone of anything really is constantly changing
Sure base figs were cool back in the day, nowadays they aren’t* (atleast in this community*) and people need to learn to adapt.
