OK. So I’m thinking of making my RHG a knight of sorts, and I’ve only got one thing for certain: I want one of his main weapons to be a shield that’s surface is a portal, allowing him to absorb everything that hits it and shoot it back at the attacker. Other than that nothing else is concrete.

OK. So if you’ve been following most of my game related posts, you’d might know that I love TF2, like, alot.
SO HERE’S ONE WACCCCCKKKKYY STORY THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME ONCE.
So I was just playing some PLR_Upward when a heavy on my team joined. and guess what happened next?
Now I don’t know how they did this, but they were preaching! Yes either someone was preaching whilst playing TF2, or they brought their computer to church. I don’t remember exactly what they were preaching, all I remember was them talking about how hell is no joke. This was just 1 encounter in TF2 upon the millions of weird and funny moments.

My cousin was planning on taunt killing a dude in front of him
That other player moved out of the way
And a rocket jumping soldier jumped in position when the bat was getting swinged

Lemme tell you about SAKUGA.
Basically, Sakuga in anime is the money shot, it’s the big hook it’s what get’s you pumped and attached.
You see, Anime usually have very strict budgets, because of this you may have noticed how most scenes in anime are just static pictures, with a few mouth frames to simulate talking, move that camera a bit and BOOM, you have your average anime scene! Now obviously if anime was all boring talking shots no one would like it, and that’s where Sakuga comes in!
Sakuga IS the budget. It’s usually that final fight scene with the best choreography and the fluid, smooth animation.
Even though most of the time Sakuga can be pretty good, sometimes it’s pretty bad, soo let me introduce the meme itself, the scene everyone loves to hate:
THE NARUTO PAIN FIGHT.
Now on paper, the animation is not that bad, it’s actually pretty fluid and expressive. The problem is; IT LOOKS F#$KING STUPID
This is supposed to be a pivotal moment in the series, Pain just killed Naruto’s friends, and destroyed the entire village, and the fight looks like some Looney Toons Bull Sh!t.
I recommend looking at Gigguk’s video about animation in anime, as I told you some stuff verbatum in his video. It’s pretty neat you should check it out.

The shield’s vortex ability allows it to be used for storage for anything that can fit into it.
The shield’s Vortex ability is very versitile. It allows the wielder to gather a bunch of projectiles and shoot them in large bursts. It allows the user to steal/break an opponent’s weapon if it’s caught in it. It can even chop off limbs caught in the vortex with ease. If the wielder has allies, they could ask them to shoot projectiles into the shield he can use later. If the person is small enough, he can even fit them into the shield and eject them at will without killing them. If there are other Vortexes in the realm it sends you to, and you have the power to move through a space like enviorment, you can escape through other vortexes, but of course, there aren’t many vortexes, and lesser so vortexes that lead you to safety. Once I get a design for the shield, I’ll make an animation full of examples.
I already know that I want the RHG’s subtitle to be “Warp Knight” or something like that, since his abilities will be focused on teleportation, manipulation, and gravitation.

Now that I think of it, they are pretty similar.
I’m still thinking about his offensive weapon. Maybe a sword that can attract people to it’s blade, and propel itself towards targets.
Honestly dude I wouldn’t give him a weapon, his shield gives him both strength and weakness. If you ever plan to fight this guy against someone you will have to balance him. He will rip CQC fighters but have troubles with range/magic users, this is where u could use your companion character to swapout the character (having both on screen will be op,tag team that shiz) your companion could be weak to melee but strong against range/magic (combat triangle) you can make some sweet combos. Imagine this, your shield dude is getting a barrage of attacks to his shield building up his (absorb/reflect ability) then at the last second he step back aims his shield to the sky, your companion then runs in jumps on shield blasting him skyward leaving the companion invinisble to damage while in the air, proceeding a counter barrage from the air. (melee fighter will be to heavy to jump or lack abilities to get that high) honestly I like your idea just don’t over do his strength, every bad a$$ has a weak spot (any story ever)
