Religious horror is very much a thing, if you’re up for it i’d recomend 2005’s “madeinusa” ,it’s basically Peruvian Midsommar, focusing on a deeply catholic town where from friday’s till sundays it’s believed that the saints are asleep, which means the inhabitants of the town are free to sin as they please.
It’s obviously got a lot of religious and christian symbology, so that could probably scratch your itch.

I was honestly thinking about something that has Jesus as the center of the horror himself, with him just being downright uncanny and strange. who knows perhaps this movie actually does have that- i gotta watch it after all!
It’s just… The idea of something so holy being so terrifying, it gives off “do not be afraid’ vibes in the most horrific way possible and I’m now in love with the idea
