The industrial evolution is one of the weirdest eras in the history of humanity, because one second they’re like “hey, so we have this gun with 6 barrels but you gotta pull the hammer back yourself because we havent figured how to do it automatically” and then 30 years later they go “hey so we have this machine gun with 9 barrels and a firerate of 30 rounds per minute that can do the job of an entire batallion by pulling a crank on its side” and then tuberculosis becomes a death sentence until the 1980’s.
