Finally, we arrived, Tijuana… tommorrow me and my dad will be crossing the border… great news, right?
WRONG
So as it turns out, my dad took his newly bought van to get polarized, just about 40%’ish or so, took him about an hour and it costed him like…. $100 maybe.
Well, five minutes after getting the thing polarized, a police officer stopped us for running a red light (which i mean… fair i guess.) And “excess polarizing” because apparently anything over 20% inmediately makes you a high profile criminal in Tijuana (except if you’re ACTUALLY something dangerous like a cartel member or something.)
He asked for papers (yet barely looked at any of them) and after threating with jail time and worse… he forced my father to rip the polarizing all off, and pay a $300 fine for running the red light (which mind you, we werent even aware of)
And you wanna know what’s funny??? The entire time the van was getting the thing done, the EXACT SAME cop stood outside in the patrol the entire 40 minutes.
Look, im not saying all cops are bad…. but all im saying is that all cops are bad and should be hung by their necks.
