The site’s moderation and whatnot is generally not too enforcing, Gigan and others get away with it because we know the nature of these people.
You may not come here often but surely you can see we aren’t operating on a heavily monitored restrictive basis, it’s fine, it happens, people make mistakes and sometimes we push a little much. You weren’t necessarily wrong but I don’t think you accounted for everything or either you overaccounted for it. I know you mean well but there’s always going to be different factors that lead to injustices in what we do and inconsistencies.

my last post is quite literally telling ralph to kill himself and that didnt get flagged by the big man because its very obvious sarcasm directed at someone who understands it
however this kid is very clearly under the age of 12 with tiktok brainrot and i can assume they wont understand or take it too well, its almost like this is the main cause of why 90% of the children here get progressively more annoying and become more “antagonistic” in a sense

I know what you mean but it doesn’t add up, a majority of people here are underage so by your logic of ‘they’re young so won’t understand, let’s shelter them’ we may as well flag every single post even remotely harmful because it wasn’t stated as a joke.
I wouldn’t say this comes down to your sense of morality and what’s right but rather your perspective and how we both perceive these things. I think it’s pointless and as far as moderation goes we judge it based on scenario then consistent gatekeeping but if you want to follow that go for it.
You’re misunderstanding my intentions here
I don’t care about fun banter or people having fun. While I might occasionally be the “fun police” of this site, it’s not one of my best interests to moderate it in a way that will turn it into a kids haven or a place that won’t be bearable for more mature members of the community. Your weird “supposedly” about me wanting peace on this site I feel is unwarranted. While I do have some form of way where I constantly look down on everyone here, I do it because I’ve seen pretty much everything on this site from the near 6 years almost 7 that I’ve been here. I don’t see why you think what I’m doing is “supposedly” trying to make the site more peaceful when what I simply want is just to make the site not a toxic wasteland like 4chan (unlike what Mr. Ralph Damiano is trying to keep up). While it’s a bit of a an over exaggeration to call it 4chan, I think the fact that it comes from Ralph himself when he asked me to be a moderator is something that should be taken into account.
I genuinely don’t care if you tell yourselves death threats or home addresses or whatever, I do it all the time with my friends, as is natural for a friend group that will understand that it’s a joke, and not everybody on this site is a “friend” or in the know enough to understand that it is.
My logic is not that “they’re young so they wont understand, let’s shelter them”. That’s a stupid stretch of a point from someone trying to make me out as some strict overlord who wants this site clean. That’s stupid and you’re a dumbass for thinking that I’m malicious like that when I literally bully children here and frequently participate in the banter when that you people supposedly think I want gone when I occasionally feel like it. It’s such a weird antagonization of the simple point that I was trying to make, and have been trying to make ever since I became a moderator. That point simply being, don’t start shit with children because they’ll end up throwing a fit over it. Look at Fedora, a weirdo who everyone found annoying at first but kept staying out of spite because everyone kept harassing him. There are also some older examples as well, I forgot their names but they’re frequently discussed in the mod talk group back when I was active.
If it’s a matter of perspective, then yours is a flawed one and the main reason why this site is so uninviting to newcomers to begin with. I have no wishes to further prolong this argument, but if you feel that I’m this much of a “strict” person I have no qualms if you keep thinking of me that way, that’s just how life is, and you can’t change the impressions people have on you without some major effort. I don’t want to put in that major effort.
