2025-12-20 16:39:38 UTC BeamNG.drive’s not as fun as I thought it would. Sandboxes aren’t that fun for me and the only thing that’s actually decently fun is Ravenfield.
But to be fair, I only experience driving, do random things like crashing at 90mph (90 because I haven’t use the supercars in the game yet), and crashing.

Obligatory crash screenshot because 80% of people owning the game only does it for the crash physics. I also felt old talking about this game, because sandbox games used to be fun for me 5 years ago.
You can always spawn ai cars or check for the “workshop”. Has some decent looking cars and planes.
Most people only play beam for is crashing

Yea most of my fun comes from mods, but vanilla beam has races and challenges which make you actually play it as if it where a racing game
Which it is.
Think of beam as a racing game, but with actual repercussions if you try to bash into other racers or traffic
Also you can make utterly unholy monstrosities. It’s why I love it.
Also some of the mods are actually genuinely insane so uh yea
The rock climbing mission on one of the island maps made me want to die.
Never tried any of the other activities though, except a police chase on the same island.

I haven’t played any fighting game since Smash 64, and that was 6 years ago.
(and I never played Street Fighter, only Tekken games for the 6th gen consoles, and also SoulCalibur for the PSP)
