Why? All of the moves I selected are stronger in base power than Brick Break.

Sounds like a Good idea, and I LOVE Golisopod. On paper, Tapu Koko has an ENORMOUS advantage, but we’re talking anime style, so anything’s possible. So for the movesets, I think…
    Tapu Koko
    – Electro Ball
    – Iron Head
    – Nature’s Madness
    – Hyper Beam
    Item: Normalium Z

    Golisopod
    – First Impression
    – Drill Run
    – Liquidation
    – Throat Chop
    Item: Buginium Z

I’m planning on making a little animation test on how well I can animate an anime-style Pokemon battle. Any Ideas for what Pokemon should be fighting each other?

    • Choose 2 legendaries, since their movepool are cool, I suggest Lunala, for some epic flight cams and beam attacks, and one of the Island Guardians

Honestly, I sucked at non-tween until I watched Heckray’s newest video, where I learned a sneaky, but clever technique that works REALLY well in non-tween. All it is is when a stickfigure moves, you make a copy of it from the previous frame, and set it to .20 opacity. that adds somewhat of a motion blur and makes it a little less choppy.
Also, your tweened animatings are AWESOME! Your “part” series is super smooth, and outstandingly funny, too!

  • Replying to comment by: Ralph (Developer)as for tweening vs non, it's tough to say, it's really up

Thank you! Honestly, between the two, I can’t decide either. With non-tween, I have more control of what’s going on, but the animation goes faster, looks choppy, and takes much longer to make. With Tweening, I can make smoother movements, but it can make camera movement look awkward sometimes, and can actually make me a lazier animator. For example, when I animate a walk/run cycle, I can get lazy with tween and it looks sloppy, and example of this is in Episode 0 of my series StickNodes: War for Freedom.
I’m just so confused at which I should use more!

I tried again at non-tweening, and I took your advice about the easing bit. This time, I made a little fight to test how well I can animate a fight without tween, and I’d say it’s pretty good for my second major non-tweened project. Whaddya think? Also, I want your opinion: Do you think my animations are better WITH or WITHOUT tweening? (I know you’ve seen my work in both categories, so please answer honestly)

    • as for tweening vs non, it’s tough to say, it’s really up to you

I like the smooth look of tweened animations, but it can actually increase the amount of work you need to do ironically

I see some non-tweened dudes animate, and while their animations would be considered “choppy”, it works well with their style and they wouldn’t be able to do things they do if it were tweened, it just wouldn’t look right, it’s their style

      anyway

this is def better though, and not even just the animating it’s got a good flow of action, you didn’t fall into that trap of lots of standing around posing after 2 hits, slows down the pace

yeah exactly, just focus on your own style and it will work out, if you’re more comfortable with non-tween

honestly if you look at cartoons and such, they’re 24 fps (not 60) and not “tweened”, there’s barely even easing if you really pay attention to movements – but it’s just animated well enough where it just works

Oh, okay, that makes sense. I just found a small little issue with your wording, and I’ve said this like 50 times already: Kaiju is NOT my RHG! The Origin Beings are too powerful to be considered that, Kaiju is more of an OC or my signature character.

Dang! Now you’re just getting plain lucky, because from what I’ve seen, very few channels that focus MOSTLY on animation actually make it to monetisiation.
