I searched for the org.fortheloss.sticknodes folder but it wasn’t there, that’s because the BlueStacks version of SN is just a singular file

  • Hey guys, it’s me King. I missed yall
Sorry though, this isn’t a stay. I’m just here to ask something

@ralph I’m not sure if you can, but is it possible to get Stick Nodes on the Microsoft Store? The comp I used for animation finally broke but I have another laptop to use. However, it runs on Windows.
I tried to get an APK, and it worked, but I can’t transfer my files, or any files, to it.
Please Ralph, my entire life of animation will be over if I can’t use the app anymore. Stick Nodes is literally the 3rd most important thing in my life, please help me out

    • im like 99% sure sn is only android and apple but don’t quote me on that because i haven’t used a microsoft product since the dark ages (2021)

    • Maybe upload the files to the default windows file manager, and than find an emulator that allows you to access the apkโ€™s files, and than move them form the default file manager into he Sticknodes folder?

      That might work

And I heard BlueStacks has a google play store. You could probably use BlueStacks, and get a file manager from there. Unless thereโ€™s already a file manager on preinstalled blue stacks, than thereโ€™s no need

Never used BlueStacks before, this is just what I looked up

So turns out it has a media manager

Iโ€™m sure you could probably access the files to Sticknodes on there. You just need to save the Sticknodes files to the windows file manager first, than transfer them to BlueStacks, I think

          https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055684992-How-to-use-the-Media-Manager-on-BlueStacks-5

I doubt Ralph is going to get it onto the Microsoft store, because he probably doesnโ€™t want to just move a mobile app over to the Microsoft store without tailoring the experience to pc users, and itโ€™ll confuse people as Sticknodes Pc would end up being a separate app.

          Bluestacks works well enough

Default file manager is kinda ass though so for bulk operations you’ll have to download a different file manager.

    • yo king

well, as established here, Bluestacks is the way to go

you can also try Memu, another popular Android emulator

but that’s what you need, to emulate Android
once emultated, you can even log into your actual Google Play account and just treat it like a normal Android device, to download SN and everything

to get your files onto it, you can probably do some sort of direct transfer with a USB cable but you can also put your files on Google Drive or something, then log into Google Drive in Bluestacks, copy/download the files and place into the /Android/data/org.fortheloss.sticknodes/files/ folder

all of this however im not sure about nor what apps you’d need to access these folders, but others here may know

Than try putting your files in that folder

The iOS app only has a singular Sticknodes folder too, and all the files are stored there. Try putting your sticks, projects, movie clips, etc., all in there
