True, I’ve never been too fond of characters with too much power or too much dramatic effect either.
It makes it harder to write them as legitimate individuals within their own universes and not some celebrated star of the show.

my ocs for my story im writing dont have powerup forms, per-se, but have like, enchanted runes worn as jewelery that give them powers, in the easiest way i can explain it
tho i do wanna have it introduced a “limit-breaker mode” and thats like, the closest ill get to forms
anyways pwoerups are cool unless theyre like 25 powerups (goku)
goku and luffy are exceptions from the animes ive watched tho, (i dont watch anime)
