In reality, a Stickfigure is only an object, It of course can Become something as well as main Character, to a simple, node. Both can make a huge difference in the final looking, you just need to know how to place it in your scene.
Remember that.

This is the definition of “less is more.” One does not need to make good stickfigures to make good looking anims.

I think you mean detailing doesn’t always need to be there and just some simple bases will do.
Good stickfigures are still necessary for a good animation.

But at a certain point, the word “stickfigure” doesnt hold up anymore. A good stickfigure doesn’t necessarily mean “ULTRA DETAIL, OVER 1000 NODES.” What it means is:
-Features that define the stickfigure, because you cant have 5000 bases and expect people to know who is who.
-A good color palate. Most people don’t like the color yellow, so don’t overuse the color yellow. MANY people like blue, so that’s pretty good for your character (i sound like a narcissist)

That wasn’t much clearer either but what I think your trying to say is not just bases but colour palette and character design is important.
As much as I said ‘bases’ I roughly meant a simple stickfigure with good design. It goes without saying good design and colour choice means a lot.
