wtf is fugu
Cooked pufferfish
kidgamermsd is right
it’s cooked pufferfish
a delicacy in japan
but fugu chefs have to spend years practicing before they serve a single dish because even a single foul cut could kill a customer
pufferfish have something called tetrodotoxin which is about 1200 times more lethal than cyanide
and of course the inventors of fugu are asian
you can rely on asia to eat literally anything that moves
and to do it gloriously
like seriously, the pufferfish is one of the most poisonous things in the sea and the asians just go
“nice fish.”
“can i eat it?”
thats just silly
it actually tastes nice.
it’s a bit like quality tuna
except it leaves your mouth tingling a bit
that effect is the very VERY slight traces of the puffer poison
just enough is left in the fish that it doesn’t kill or make the customers sick
it just makes their tongue fizzle a bit
it’s like popping candy; japanese seafood cuisine edition
do you get it now???
well it sounds good
then play russian roulette with the chef if you dare
