Aight ima bouta crash out
This shit should not be failing the way it isSome im trying to make some stuff with mcreator and blockbench, and I want it to be animated, so I TRIED using geckolib, which, apparently everyone uses, without issue, all fine and dandy
When I try to make an entity, it goes fine.
I model it in block bench, animate it, texture it all well and good
Exporting is just a walk through the park, export the animations, the model and the texture all fine,
Make it in mcreator, smooth sailing import everything fine, doesn’t tell me anything amiss
Try and spawn it in the world? Crashes instantly and doesn’t even render the model.
And mcreator crash logs don’t even tell me what the fuck is going on just a buncha bull malarkey “null” and “error” and “unexpected”You no shit its an unexpected error, tell me how to fix it, programm.
I seriously have no idea what’s the issue, I exported the files correctly with the right names, I made sure compats where right, hell I even followed nerdys (the guy who made geckolib) tutorial, and yet every fucking time, entities crash the game and items don’t even render at all.
I’m tweaking

I knew mod making was gonna be hard but this is just straight up tedious
Gotta make a shit ton of textures, gotta make everything mesh right, gotta figure out how on earth things work, and sometimes shit just straight up breaks and doesn’t tell you why
And don’t even get me started on Mcreator procedures
My mind can’t even grasp that stuff, even remotely
Well atleast I can make animated entities with the geckolib plugi- OH WAIT! every time I spawn the entity in, the game crashes and mcreator won’t even tell me what the hell is going on.
Guess I’ll just stick with block packs…

Ah this reminds me of how I used to mod Fallout 4 like crazy
Even though I didn’t make the mods, I still ran into similar problems, I had to avoid certan parts of the map or it would crash, if an npc was standing at the wrong place and the wrong time it would crash, if I SHOT an npc with the WRONG ammunition at the WRONG time, it would crash!
It drove me insane because I had one of those complex no-lifer ass mod builds that you see on YouTube, I was on such hard copium I would spend HOURS tweaking mod setting just for it to crash again and againI may have had to delete my entire mod library… mutible times (which is hell, 150+ mods everytime, evaporated)
It got to a point to where I declared my hardware to be utter dogshit and unistalled the game. And am still waiting to get a good pc someday 🥲

Yeah absolutely terrible engine, can make a good screenshot though.
And yeah, boston was hell. I got dimond city to run though (…only partially)
I treid to do a save where I would only stay in boston with a bunch of zombie mods and it lasted a little longer than you think.Boston is manageable, if you move through it like pac man. (And use a lot of fast travel)
Oh and that save corrupted after like a week.
