Here’s a potential enemy: Tlordrake the Banished \The Old One
Tlordrake is a ice wyvern bound in chains in the tundra area of the land. He was subdued by a party of wizards thousands of years ago and buried deep underground so he may never rise again. But an earthquake loosened the rocks, awakening the monstrous beast. He is still trapped underground, but he may be freed if someone destroys the scroll used to make the chains unbreakable.

I like this a lot, name’n all. I think it’d be pretty funny if they cut the scroll by accident, thinking it’s just a bit off cloth in the way only to find a massive castle sized behemoth raining down frigid blizzards from its maw and turning villages to ice as far as the eye can see!
My idea was the group found his cave to rest in for the night. They made a fire, and burned the scroll, not knowing what it was. Then Tlordrake is released, and goes on a rampage.
