Oh cool, Minecraft in sticknodes
Now you have given unlimited power to users who are great at Minecraft skins, but not sticknodes
people who are great at downloading* minecraft skins
Oh nice, now I’m included
Thanks Ralph
I wonder how much of a doozy it was getting all that to work
in all honesty it was just a lot of hardcoding all the perspectives’ individual x/y pos, uv coords, scaling, etc
looks worse than it is, just tedious
I feel like you prob could’ve been able to somehow simplify the repetitive part to 6 lines of code… But lmfao who has time to come up with algorithms for that shit, what’s next? Formula for smart stretch tech that no one uses?
Oh wait that last one is me.
you’re not wrong, just wrong about where the optimization is
its later, when you wanna render each part
it’s a simple function call using all the pre-written hardcoded data per bodypart
Yeah but I meant you prob could’ve condensed the written body part data stuff to 10 lines or so lol
Like putting the [HEAD1… RARM2] into an array and then repeating the process X amount of times.
Idk much about coding but I know that shit can be condensed down hard lmao.
the values are all unique, there’s no way to automate that
all the uv coords and then the xy pos of the limbs
there’s not even a pattern lol
minecraft skins look like i came up with it:
the left arm is over here, and the right arm is way the fuck over here with some legs in between, but there’s more legs over here way to the side
somewhat unrelated but are “right trapezoids” doable in the code?
i prefer wrong trapezoids
I’m gonna take this as a byword for “right trapezoids are coding hell”
demojok.jpgHmmm
That name sounds familiar…
