Hence my comparison with the insult of pig , and how pig’s use against cops is similar to how clanker is used
Battle droids are played for laughs a ton of the times , and there’s much to be said on the political dynamic and effects both the republic and the CIS have on the greater galaxy , but battle droids are mindless killing machines , not innocent civilians that are oppressed by systems at large

Its origins from what I know come from how cops have been perceived for ages as clumsy , greedy , and generally incompetent/lazy/nasty
From taking bribes to getting innocents hurt or even killed in far too many cases , it’s an insult thrown at especially the corrupt and incompetent cops
