The new stage is “hatchling”, which spends its time on land before losing their legs and growing into a leviathan

Well, if that’s the case, there would be approximately 35 node spawns bursting out of their eggs in the middle of growing into an adult because they’re too big lol

The eggs grow with them, you can get eggs that were once the size of a large book growing into the size of a truck

No, no, the Node Spawn grows WITH the egg, the egg doesn’t supersize things

Basically, Charxek Thar would lay about 10 eggs in one go, a Hatcher would come by and pick them up and embed them in it’s back, it’d take them over to the hibernation chambers and slot them in waxy honeycomb looking things. They would then be left for about a week and then the fully grown Node Spawn would tear it’s way out the egg and cell and into the Hive to serve its purpose.
So basically, nodespawn are oversized bees that have eggs that slowly become oversized too with the node spawn doing that too.
