Sometimes when I used tweening effect movieclips seem to lag

tweening is good because everything uses tweening
if you mean tweening on then tweening sucks

Did you ever recover from Doctor Seuss verses?-

the last like i should have used quotes but i meant the “tweening on” button

I understand that people perceive tweened frames as skipping the process of animation, but I think great animators who use tweening aren’t lazy or unaware of the elements of animation. it’s practically the same as normal animation if used properly.

i use the add tweened frame button alot, it helps me combine frames together as it is supposed to be, but what i mean is the “tweening on” toggle thing, where it does that automatically, what animators like jerrel uses

Maturing is realizing that your animation style depends on the goal youβre trying to achieve with the animation. Tweening is good in some things that non tweening isnt, and non tweening excels in things tweening canβt without making animation look weird and janky. Itβs all up to what your trying to do 🤷

I had one idea…how about adjusting the FPS for each scene? It may appear subtle if all movements are smooth or not all movements are smooth. So I think it would be a good idea to use different tweening effects for each scene. I’m still a beginner, but using that method it’s better than not using the tweening effect at all.

Hmm
this is a very tedious and gay process, but i never really considered it
i suppose by manually setting the frames and having “keep mc during tween”, you’re able to bypass the flickering if it were an “Animated” movieclip?
now the proper way to do it is to go into the MC and make sure all the stickfigures inside have “keep stickfigure during tween” checked, but i can imagine this would be tedious to do if you didn’t think ahead to do it
i imagine there should just be some extra checkbox for the movieclip to “preserve interior figures during tween” which kinda just overrides the setting of the stickfigures inside
