And when you’re a giant, almost whale sized super-predator that sees a small piece of meat that is more bone than worth biting near ya, and there are animals in your environment worth taking a bite of, you tend to ignore a human.
Like how Sharks and Whales in the wild normally don’t care about a human swiming by them.

SPECIES- Purussaurus brasiliensis
CODENAME- “King-Croc” “Sobek”LOADING LOG#48-
“August 9th, 2019
“In one of the four sections of the largest lakes of the islands, the largest crocodilian to have ever existed rules these waterways. Purussaurus.
“Named Sobek, after the Egyptian God with a crocodilian head, this massive specimen, large even for his kind at an impressive forty feet in length and when last weighed, was close to eight and half tons. He is content with his status as lord of the waterways for not even our residental mated pair of Spinosaurus have dared to mess with it (likely having dealt with Sarcosuchus before we had captured them and having memories of the encounter), when the two species were carefully brought together in cages. Sobek didn’t care about them, but they hissed and bared their claws in defensive manners. It was clear who ruled the waters here.
“When feeding, which we do once a week with a beef carcass, we prefer to let it hang on a hook about a doezen or so feet from the water. The blood that drips off the meat and into the water -plus the smell- attract the big , bulky croc. With all that weight, you wouldn’t picture it could lift itself out of the water at all, but he can and does at every feeding. It allows him to exercise those massive muscles in his tail, and thus burning the fat that gets fattened up during his time just lazing about.
“He also makes for a good row partner.”
