Here is my judgement.
Its a good concept but a person could spam it and survive forever. (based on what I saw)
Anyway I’d suggest maybe a few second cool down.
Also maybe add smudge lines to where your character teleported because at multiple points I had to look for it.
Although the game is looking great. I love the simplistic style! Keep up the great work!
Thanks man, appreciate it! – Also the teleporting is unlimited only for this moment because I only just started working on it a couple hours ago – the goal will be to let the user “buy” a certain number of teleports that they can use throughout the round in case they’re likely to die or they think the next part looks too challenging to get past etc – I’m not sure what other smudge lines you mean, I have the lines where the player left and where they come back, but the user will be the one “tapping a location” to teleport there
This is what I ment by smudge. So your eye are more easily directed.
ngl this mechanic is actually very interesting, and can maybe give the game a unique edge here
maybe have this not be a perk but rather a permanent thing
and it recharges so it might take time between usage
but otherwise, it is used to travel around *very* commonly (like almost, get-rid-of-jumping-altogether commonly – but maybe lets not go that far)
it does make me think maybe get rid of double jumping tho, he seems a bit too floaty
I agree, it would be awesome to base a game around this, but I think the obstacles I’ve created would be meaningless if I made this a permanent thing, and a cool-down seems like if the cool down period is greater than the time the water takes to get to that location, then they die anyway, and if not, they’d probably get to live forever
Adding on to what I said yesterday. What if one of the skins powers ups was a rechargeable teleport?

just the idea of teleporting around the screen, with some running around mixed in (no jumping) can be an interesting idea

Imo make a risk-reward sorta thing
Like when you go in a teleporter it launches you upwards (or the direction it’s placed) really fast so it’s not as op and predictable
Bonus points if when you fall on one it launches you upwards faster depending on the height of your fall
Yeah agreed, I sort of thought about having a portal/teleporter object in the game that you walk into, but it may not have too much use, but it would definitely be fun to play with
