I don’t know how to explain, but I’ll try anyways.
What I generally do is make a mirrored version of it, also adding a one thick segment behind the neck that connects the clothing in front with the clothing further back, sometimes with a slightly different shade of colour to mostly show some sort of 3d(?) Look to it.
I dunno, clothing are not my thing but if you want I can show you what I mean. -

Alright well flintlock is pretty much done. Didn’t know what to add so I just added fancy engravings and made the weapon actually function.

So, I need some feedback on these two as of now. I’ve looked at the rifle one for a while and decided to extend the bayonet and fix the mag from a weirdly round shape to a more boxed shape yet I don’t know where to go from there. The flintlock, I just want to know where improvements can be made in terms of colours i.e gradients and possibly damage to the wood.
(The flintlock I still need to add the hammer and what not) -
Man, I can’t understand how people make guns out of the blue so fast.
Anyways, Sup.
I’ve been trying to come up with a firearm of sorts right, supposedly meant to be all futuristic and what not, but after making the body I am puzzled as to how I can add details to it, plus, I can definitely tell it needs some improvements yet I can’t really pin point them except for one, that being the bayonet being a slight bit longer.
(Any criticism you have of this, please feel free to comment.) -

I was pretty much bored and decided to make a last figure of something I had in mind.
Yeah the helm is just a project cuz I’m changing it and I need to fix the palette for the armour because it’s all over the place.
Anyway thoughts so far?(Helmet was from a knight concept art I used to see if medieval helmets would look good mixed with sci fi)

Certainly looks good to me! 👍

its not awful
you can likely get away with sticking with just 3-4 colors, thicker bands, and a lot less of them
im thinking more “cartoony” but it would still look good
