Really like your character designs. Simple yet efficient. I really like your styles, unique.

Hallo, I had died again.
Universities are over. So yippee, now I can focus on all my halted projects.
@cheesebiscuit. So I’m going to start drawing the redesign of your character. Do you still want me to have full liberty on the redesign or do you want some specifics to be added to the redesign?
If you do want specifics, please add some images that I can use as references.
@mannyanims. Now that I am free, I shall start making your character into sn. Will update you in like. Three-Four? Hours.

i forgot i existed here.
Uh anyways, rough draft done.
want me to change anything?
Just @ me and i’ll respond as fast as i can -
\’ello.
Time for me to stop procrastinating and all that so… Mind sending me some images of your character?
Also, do you still want to stick to the;\”So it’s mostly stylish black cloth with bits of protective metal, with thin hand gauntlets that have red shurikens on them. The hand gauntlets consist of a shiny metal (so, they are gray).
But he keeps his top hat.
Again, thank you.\”
Or do you want to change that design idea you had?

Just search \”base\” and click on \”name\” you\’ll find multiple base figures that you can use to make your first character design.
For ideas, that is rather vague. But if you mean in \”what should I do make my oc my own and not generic?\” . Just make them however you want, i.e: sci-fi clothing, modern clothing, medieval, fantasy. Go wild, mix and match making it sci-fi/medieval combo.
If you do use a base figure from the site, just make sure to mention you used it from said individual. In other words just give credit to the author of original base figure creator.

Because truth be told I\’ve not done the overalls on my character, as it is drawn. Not actually made in sticknodes. However, when I make the actual clothing and figures, I\’ll tell you how I made it

If you’re still here or returned to the website. Just letting you know you’re almost done. Just back arms, helmet and the cape and done
If he isn’t, if someone that’s still in touch with him could pass along the information, would be much appreciated.

Favourite fighting game has to be Mortal Kombat.
But in terms of which game? MK9. Always enjoyed that game and it was quite nice, one thing I miss about MK9 that\’s not on newer games is how your character gets progressively more and more injured with actual visible bruises and wounds. And the 2v2 as it was also fun -

Yes, see now that is a bigger improvement in my opinion. You\’re now giving more life to your character.
The top hat and casual suit makes it feel as if your character is a civilized and well mannered individual, whilst the colour can connote that they may be a silly individual at time to time, going out of their way to do some silly shenanigans.
Yes I agree on the face needing some change though, it feels rather uncanny having human like eyes with pupils. If you stick with two purely white circles, I\’d wager it would be better. Though I am not too sure on it myself, as once again. This will be purely on trial and error and how it looks. In terms of visually appealling to you.
Right now. I\’ll say, this is good. For a first version of the character. This is a vast improvement as now you can see that they are two different characters, now not only from the colour, but also due to them having different clothing attires.
Now, I will give you these suggestions.
1. Improve upon this more, try and get a feel around with sticknodes\’ round segments and polynodes and such.
2. The sketch is good. I like it, it gives a character to your OC. Try and now copy it from a sketch to the actual app itself. I will be more then willing to help you on that note, giving you some tips and such.
3. Make a new sketch, this time, for the sister. Give her, her own unique clothing style and the likes. For this. Think on how she\’d act. What\’s her personality? What does she like? Is she always a silly individual or is she a serious person that likes to be silly very rarely? Use those thoughts you\’ve had for making that character, and then draw clothing that would match her personality.
An example being, you saw that drawing of my character right? Cropped overall jeans, puffy orange jacket, beanie and a shirt with logo? My thoughts behind that was simple: a goofy individual that enjoys music, mostly rock music. Likes to walk a lot, specially in winter, but also likes to stand out a little.
Now how do these translate to character design and clothing design? Simple: puffy jacket and beanie- \”walks a lot specially in winter\”
Enjoys rock music- \”shirt with logo of a smiley face with red crosses over the eyes\”
Likes to stand out-\”cropped overall jeans.\”This is an example of my thought process. Try it this way first, see how it goes for you. And just do what you feel is right.
I wish all the best on your future endeavours and good luck.
I know you\’re going to make awesome figures, all you need to do is practice and take it your own steps, don\’t rush things. Rushing only makes it worse.

as previously stated. The design of both characters are very much the exact same, with only the difference being the colour palettes. Now what i suggested was to change characters designs a bit more, nothing too drastic that it changes the original idea of your character. but also adding some barely noticeable spikes does not change much, as when you are animating the characters, viewers will not notice that difference, same with the bowtie. Now, just because i gave an example such as a bowtie, bracelet and such does not mean that that is what you need to do, I implore you venture forth out of your comfort zone, and make clothings, design some clothings for your character. As for character design itself, like i’ve stated, different heads, better visuals. Currently they are the same television heads, which doesn’t do much. Besides, you changing the angles of the Antenna also doesn’t do much for a stark difference.
Here’s what i’ll say. Download an app, mostly for drawing and such. Screenshot your character desgin, and then draw some clothings for them in there. That’s what i’ve done for many of my characters after i’ve done doing their base figure. It helps a lot, as it gives you a clear visual as to how it will go, without you having to imagine it. The first two pictures you see, are examples of what i mean by this. Now, for your second character, I went and made a twenty minute doodle of how you can change the aspect of your character in general, make her stand out without looking like a copy paste of the original. (of course, the doodle is not the best, as i wasn’t going to put too much effort on it. As you can see proportions are rather odd)
Use shapes to make your characters, As you can see, the one i made uses squares, this one was to show a more femenine character, considering the sharp wide angles, and narrower torso. For the male character, Make it blocky, or less narrow, in other words, make it resemble a masculine character. That way, audience can actually tell apart from the two.
Honestly. This is the best i can do, I mostly do visuals rather then typing. You’ve got to figure out the rest on your own chief, use pinterest, youtube, anything that can help you. Watch tutorials, and just do a lot of trial and error. Find the visuals you desire and just go for it.
Best of luck on your future endeavours. I will now go kill myself as I am tired.
P.s. here’s what I meant about the suggestion with the whole, animated comic and such (280 frames, 20fps, no tween. Poorly made because I was rushing it as I was doing it on top of my actual studies.)

The only specific thing I can think of is his little braid in his hair with colored beads
(The last one isn’t a bead, just the gold band that ties it)
