For the more personal stuff, I don’t really have much to say other than the fact that I’m extremely proud of myself, my team, and everyone who were able to make this collab possible. This is looking to be the best collab so far and I genuinely don’t know how we got it to this quality despite the massive time crunch, since we only started work on this immediately after sprites came out. It’s been an incredibly busy 3 months but the fact that the collab became this successful, especially with some of the entries being insanely good, was something we genuinely didn’t expect. I genuinely don’t know how to top this and I still genuinely do have no ideas on what I could do for the next collab.

I do think there were some mishaps that could be improved upon though, like being more lenient next time instead of being overly strict with time limits, which I had to kind of had to bend around the rules a little bit. There’s also some issues with optimizing the template to be more usable since it’s very much a mess to animate with, which surprises me even more on how people managed to animate really good entries with it. Along with some other stuff too that I forgot but the general production of the collab this time was chaotic to say the least. We even had a massive personal controversy pop up near the end that managed to resolve itself though, but the effects of that kinda showed in the cutscenes, mostly due to being burnt out or just massive stress.

This collab is genuinely the most ambitious one we’ve done so far, and I’m not expecting the next collab to be as ambitious as this one but let’s see. We had to animate mini scenes between every entry, with a lot of the entries even getting special judge reactions rather than just recycled movieclip votes. By the end of it I did kinda get burnt out and just put the quality control on hold when the last two late participants gave me their entries so I just kinda squeezed them in without much thought, but I think they’re good enough anyway.

While I know none of you here give a shit, this is the only place I can post it anyway in a semi readable fashion, as I’m not really too interested in posting this to Twitter or anywhere else. Suck it.

This collab is looking great and I’m looking forward to the premiere, even after watching the final cut like 8 times already while editing. See you there!
