finished with this thing, purely a lighting test i made to test out a lens flare movieclip i borrowed from a friend
@ralph also, does exporting take longer if the animation has more complex filters, nearly everything in this animation is a movieclip with set filters, which took about 1 minute to export compared to others which took around 10-15 seconds

well, yes, because it takes longer for the frame to be generated with the filters applied (blur, glow, etc – they all take milliseconds to complete rendering but it adds up over time)
filters op
to be fair
even in Flash on PC they’re op and lag so-
movieclips ftw
movieclips are insane i look back on all the bullwhip i had to program and can’t believe i managed it tbh

is there gonna be a cancel movieclip editing button because this was so frustrating to make with movieclips
especially the end
not really, unfortunately
even in Flash, editing movieclips is permanent unless you “undo” it to the end
so with SN, its simply a limitation with the amount of Undos allowed, which is 25 because memory and shit
that hurts me mentally
but i guess it gotta be that way
i know, it sucks
the only feasible way would be to, like, save the state to a file when entering edit mode
which would take a few seconds, basically saving a movieclip
i guess it’s not *that* bad but, hm
i’ll see
im surprised it doesnt work like animation mode where changes dont apply until you click save
but i dont really know much about the memory / technical mishaps that might cost
well technically its the same exact premise
if you edit a movieclip but don’t like it, reload the project (dont save)
if you edit the frames of a project but don’t like it, reload the project (dont save)
MC editing is basically an extension of editing the project itself
Enter the gungion
That’s what it reminds me of
Good work, I liked the addition of the subtle lens flare.
