You see, animation is a huge blanket term

Think of it like this:

A lot of people think that all there is to being good at FPS’s is aiming good and whilst aiming is important, there’s a lot more to it than that

There’s good positioning, good teamwork* (In most cases*), good awareness, good map knowledge etc etc.

Now replace aiming with animation

The animations in animation is really important but just animation alone won’t cut it in most situations

Good animation is good character design, good backgrounds, good pacing, good composition etc etc.

A lot of people who animate on this site plan on animating professionally, and if you don’t want to that’s perfectly fine, but uh, most do, and most want atleast semi-professional quality

Jack isn’t good character design, it’s a ducking red base fig. A good character design tells me the character’s personality and traits at a glance

I got nothing from this design, because it’s a naked red stick figure with no personality

He’s a kick boxer right? Give him some trunks, maybe some gloves or wrappings. If he’s a champ give him a belt or something
