I asked a bunch of people about how this looks, they said it looks cool and stuff but they ammo pouch or whatever looks off so I ask: how do I make them look better?

Use trapezoids instead of triangles, if you want a more rounded look or just want to get rid of the sharp corners, add a half eclipse to the end of the trapezoid. Match up the width and make them really short in length.
