    Question of the day:

In a scenario where someone is about to jump off a building, they ask ‘why do we exist, what’s the point?’

Why do you think we exist, what would you say to this person?

Even if you don’t think there’s a reason, what would you say to answer their question to reassure them?

    • Personally I think there is no point, we exist purely because this is the natural flow of life and continuation in the universe.

Looking directly at our own lives throughout the ages and such, our concern and existence has been to solely thrive, survive and multiply but as these modern times approach, survival is less of an issue.

I think we exist for the sole purpose of giving our lives meaning, being known for something or being able to justify why we individually exist, whether you choose to live alone and work, or whether you choose to be a family person.

It all boils down to ones own happiness and satisfaction with their lives.

I’m a christian, and I was taught in my life that of I intentionally end my own life I would go to hell. Which you can see how I have a motivation to not end it, so in my religion, or at least in my families teaching of it, life’s very important and so is taking your own

    • As insignificant as one may feel
Dropping , that one chip from a bag , or piece of jerky , in which a ant(s) can find it , and use it to feed a large chunk of their nest , humans can literally save 1 million lives and more , no matter how big or little of a effort we put

I have had to talk to friends out of suicide , the most comforting thing to say is giving them the understanding that they CAN jump off , if need be , but it’s always a horrible way to live one’s last moments

You’ll regret the decision , all the pain that came before isn’t even comparable to the slow pace flooding of one’s mind , regret , sorrow , and sadness , that’s the only thing that’ll come out of this

Pull through and I promise I help you , we can get the help you need to live your life dude , it doesn’t have to end like this

The best way to die , is dying happy , and that’s what you should strive for the most

    • To me, there has to be some greater purpose. At least in my mind, there is little explanation of the universe existing besides something creating it, like a simulation or a god. I think life is precious, and each breath, whether you are in pain or not, is a priceless thing. I personally somewhat believe in a higher power, but It’s not clear cut. Jesus could be real, he may not be. There could be some completely other unrelated god, or no god at all. As for what I’d say to a person who wants to take their life, I would probably say something along the lines of that life is the greatest thing anyone can have. We don’t know if an afterlife exists or not. It’s best to make use of your living life before you find out if it does or not.
