how
hair
now
It depends what type of hair you make.
Hair isn’t as difficult as you’d expect it to be to make, as long as you follow a few guidelines it should look good.
1. Make sure it’s not dead-straight but with some curve and some edge, not too much, just enough without being pixel-thin courtesy of triangles or ridiculously small nodes.
2. Use reference material and roughly follow the contours of the hair shape.
3. Make sure it flows nicely and is not too spiked in some areas then completely flat where it should be elevated.
4. When filling in the hair don’t use polyfills but rather large and small shapes, using an inverted triangle for tight to wide spaces is ideal and then following up with a larger node which you can curve to fit spaces better.
5. Look for parts you’d want to move and make them ideally before filling in the hair, or after, it doesn’t matter too much, so long as it connects to the rest of the hair well it’s fine.
Let’s say I wanted to make this:

What I’d do is start with the rough shape, then figure out which parts I’d want to move, then see if it connects to the hair well when being moved, don’t worry if it’s not perfect when moving all the way up or to the side perfectly at 0 degrees, if it works when moved a fair amount, that’d good enough.
Then I’d fill in the hair, add any shading or colours where I can
That’s about it.
This was hard to explain so just show me an example of what you want to achieve and I’ll try and walk you through it.
my hair pretty much
This is an interesting one, a lot of curls so it’d be fairly challenging with the node count.
I’d say start with the flat static parts so anything essentially not curly here, then begin to work on the side and front parts that would likely move and create a non-static 0 thickness node, then create a rounded segment with the segment size adjusted to 0.15 as a way to get more curvature on smaller parts.
Adjust the thickness and length however you want, not too big though, then curl up to the point you started and use other curls back down to near the moving part, this way you get the clumped curly hair moving as one rather than multiple separate parts.
Follow this step on the parts you want to move, the moving parts are usually the loose parts like the overhangs or longer parts, the front and partially the sides is the focus here.
For the curls to differentiate adjusting the colour is necessary, use different colours but have a base colour to start with and that will likely take up the majority of the hair and it’s colour.
Do not worry about small strands, if you use big and small parts and curl them and add colour, it should look similar.
How
Make
Clothing
Creases
It’s hard to get right so I’ll explain as best I can.
You should look to areas where clothing wouldn’t usually be positioned so in the case of a shirt it goes straight down and out at the sleeves, the torso should remain fairly crease free given the character wearing it isn’t with any fat or muscles forcing the shirt to move out.
Creases form when something moves the clothes a certain way, usually at the bottom of trousers, and at the sides you get creases.
Like I’ve said with InfiniteGuess just give me an example and I’ll try and help implement creases.
Hardcore 3D
With complex figs
(Not the stereotypical sticks without hands)
How do you mean?
Accurate anatomical features on a ‘3D’ Stickfigure?
perhaps
i have the front view and side view but im trying to finish the whole thing,
Like the slightly tilted one
and I just really struggle cause I made a mistake of making my figure in my own style
Basically only the 360° part,
Btw the anatomy has been finished as with all my figs so im fine with anatomy
Not sure, you’d have to use reference material, look up 3 / 4 view and stuff should come up.
I’m very late but
How to come up with good designs for planets that don’t come from references
Look for patterns and certain ways planets look and try to implement that, you could also just try random designs or designs you think might work and then just keep trying to perfect it.
Maybe use a drawing software or just manually draw to do this because designing it in Stick Nodes is pain.
