👋 My return 🍋

Hello everyone, to some of your knowledge, you already heard I left the site for a while on break.

I’ve been on the ropes on how to make this post since I have a lot I could discuss so basically from this point onwards you can choose to read or not, I don’t really mind but if you wanted to know why I did what I did, even for people involved in dramas or conflict with me the past few weeks / months, this will put some insight to that.

Why I left? ( yappin’ )

For the people who were tied into dramas, even if it were true, or it were false or somewhere in-between, I think it came back to a thing of wanting to change the site for the better but that meant stopping people in saying and doing some things but to an exaggerated extent. I never did it because I was so naive to what I was doing expecting real bold results but I wanted to set examples and do what I could to try and get some more prominent figures to lead a positive example.

The problem is of course it meant shunning people and trying to regulate the site’s content ( flagging posts etc ) which is not doable plus denies anyone their right to say something. It’s a bit of a gatekeeping mindset too I think, I’m not 100% on that but I know I was being restrictive, even if it was within policies and for the sake of maintaining peace.

I don’t believe I was so wrong in my actions even if I word it badly or it looks bad, I did truly mean well but considering what this site is about anyway and seeing that even the Developer has certain inclinations towards strong political viewpoints or generally just failing to avert certain issues etc it just made me realise it’s my place to just work within my own boundaries, let Stick Nodes be what it is but instead dedicate myself to my own efforts which does in turn tie into helping others, running the Site Log, project opportunities, moderation etc.

So to anyone before that I called out, Cuss, Mellow, Gigan, Sillywizard and probably a few others, I want to apologise if I took anything too far, I’m not holding any of you unaccountable for any poor choices or actions but I feel I just want to apologise for any exaggerations or tensions raised, things said etc. regardless of whether you choose to accept this mutual apology ( if you can even call it one, since I feel all parties involved had some dirt on them ) or not I just wanted to clear my thoughts and why I did what I did.

I truly care for some of you here and I know I’ll care for many more as the time goes by.

Thank you all thus far, hopefully if everyone decides to leave we can at least do so on a positive note, all the best to everyone.

May 2025 be a good year, if not, maybe the next..
